Thanks Seth.
Finally! I rode out with the City Of Taylor Quint 1 last month, and they had a Brush Truck from Weir and Coupeland on loan.
Also, due to the drought and brush fire situation, the brush truck responds on every call, with one of the firefighters assigned to Quint 1.
Wildfire for those not from the area, a custom Brush Truck manufacturer located in the DFW Metroplex area.
Next to be replaced is Quint 1, the 1999 Pierce 75' Quint that is the only remaining rejected truck of a multiple order from Houston FD.
They also have a new Chief with a great backround who is from the DFW area, and is very progressive, so you're going to see a lot of things changing. They are already installing MDT's tied to the Williamson County CAD system.
Thanks for the photos, Billy!

I believe that all the District Commander got/getting one. I saw today that District Command 2 got one. (Sorry no pics). I have no clue what the plains are for the DC pick-ups?

I think it would look alot better if they would have painted the top of the box to match the cab.

I agree ATCEMS does have some of the best looking units around. I think that the blue over yellow is alot better then the white over yellow is/was.
I've always thought ATCEMS has some of the best looking units around. Not a fan of yellow but the blue and yellow mix so well.

Actually Seth ATCEMS was the first dept to run those. All the District Commanders ran them. Also District Command 6 is refurbished on a new 2011 Ford F-350 chassis. I do have pics of it before it was refurbished. If you want I can post them?

Update on the Bastrop fire. It's now 40% contained. Also the DC 10 that came to help was never used! It's now in Houston working on the brush fires there.
