PCFD did you see that we are currently starting the project on the 35 Seagraves that we had obtained from Port Chester??? The FWD is not far at all, it is in the Beekman Fire District just over the line from Pawling so about 20 minutes or so from Wassaic.

We have a lowboy trailer lined up Thanks to Chief elect Boardman and the guy is on vacation next week so all looks good for a special home delivery for next week

Nice shots, glad you shared them, man I love the look of the Village of Fishkill ladder, great color scheme.

The nice thing about the rig is that everything that left with it is still on it, something like the hose obviously is no good but the straight tip 2 1/2" nozzles, fire extinguishers, ladders and on and on are still on it, helps out greatly.

Ok well next fall please remember to post it up on upcoming events, I am looking forward to it, maybe we might have our 49 FWD running and ready for some muster work.

I went over to see my father-in-law this morning, he is a WWII vet and he talked about this day and all that were lost on this historic day in USA history. Exactly what he said was that so many of us have forgotten that day, just like it never happened.

Any information that anyone may have regarding a federal bid contract versus a state or county bid. We are trying to purchase a vehicle that is on a federal bid contract and our district lawyer has told us that we (nys fire district) cannot buy off of a federal bid and that we can only use a state or county bib. The vehicle in question is a B.R.A.T made by Firematic Supply in NYS. The B.R.A.T. is now available via GSA Contract #GS30F0028U. Well good??? we re bringing it home to see what needs to be done to it, there are alot of guys that can do various things to it without any labor costs so if it looks as though we can manage it then the company will keep it, if not then a few of us will gladly take possession of it.

Funny thing change is isn't. We have gone off two towers forever it seems and now with the simo there is only one set of tones, it is an adjustment. The only way to aid our issues in Wassaic is to put a tower right in the middle of town and that probably wouldn't fix it either. As stated before I live in Dover and my pager and portable work great but we had a call Tuesday and I was at the firehouse and my pager never opened. We are gathering this information and passing to DCER.

I figured I throw this out to see when other companies/depts hold their elections of officers and if any of the members here are running and what position they may be running for?? I will start it off, our elections are tonight and I am running for Asst. Chief, last served as Chief in 2000 so I guess it is time to get back at it.

Rob, hopefully you have one next year, I would have loved to have attended but had to work, so hopefully in 2009. I'm sure you guys had a blast.
