Wassaic 225 Returns to WFD!

176 posts in this topic

Well Signman and me went on alittle trip this morning based on a rumor that our 1949 FWD was spotted, we found it, I was pretty sick to my stomach to see her in this condition, I took some shots to share with all here. Man was she some piece of equipment. The next thing to see is if we can get her back home. She is still equipped as the day she left in 1990.

I bet with some elbow grease, TLC and hard work you can bring her back to her former glory.

Not really sure why he did but I know he drove it around for several years, it does have a 1997 inspection sticker on it. I will keep you posted, need any

2 1/2?? There are a few other older rack trucks there as well so I would figure a collector.

There are a few of us that want to get it back privately, the company doesn't have the $$$$$ to spend of it, we are in the process of trying to secure more funds for our 1935 Seagraves (below) at this time for it's restore. We got the Seagraves from Port Chester in 1958 or 1959.

Good luck w/getting it back home. It sure needs some serious work.

You would think the "owner" would be glad to just get it off his land.
