Eastchester FD Board approved the purchase of a Pierce 107” single axle ladder to replace L16; the current L16 would replace L15 (1980s Seagrave I believe) as spare.

In an event like this, does the trucking company, or their insurance company, get billed for time and/or materials expended by the YFD?

And don't forget GE sold off the majority of GE Capital. There will be a lot less jobs that supported towns and real estate values in Fairfield County. property taxes, sales taxes, incomes taxes are all going to be impacted

Caught part of an Eastchester board meeting where they said L15 was having issues passing certification and started discussing commencing the process towards the purchase of a new truck. Did the issues with L15 get resolved (believe I have seen it listed on incident reports since then) or any movement towards the purchase of a new truck?

this rig was listed for $200k earlier this year and has now been reduced $60k to $140k. Listing on Hemmings. The original listing said it was purchased for $235k at Barrett-Jackson.

Again like FireMedic049 pointed out without knowing the full extent of the article or incident it is hard to fully respond to a comment like that but many people forget the difficulties of fire operations in a non hydrant area. This time of year especially becomes a hassle to a non hydrant fire because you encounter some back roads that don't get the same plow attention as the main roads, noted water sources are now frozen over making some inaccessible for appropriate drafting, and as always you are at the mercy of your mutual aid and how quickly they mobilize to get the shuttle operation in motion.
Preplans are extremely helpful and when paired with SOP's and practice you can turn a shuttle ops to a bread and butter fire operation. Its easy for these incidents to get complicated due to the numerous variables involved and as we all know Murphy's law when crap hits the fan it all goes down hill. On top of that I think we would all agree the trade of firefighting is a complicated job in general. I think more then a few departments in this county find fires within hydrant areas complicated as well and they have plenty of water at their disposal. Complication of fires in non hydrant districts comes with the territory and you can break down the issues found at these incidents with drills, training, and overview of company/department SOP.
But as I said before its hard to really break this apart without the full view on the incident.

That may be true, but the RMP in the picture has no riser lights, and the RMP # looks like it is 2518 (possibly 2519), Highway RMP's are numbered in 2800-2999 series, so I doubt this was a Highway RMP.
I agree with you Bronxfireradio, it does look like "Dodge" atop the grill.

Looks good. Are they gonna add a light bar or are the lights incorporated into the top two take downs?
Didn't see any mounting set up for a full bar.

This is a curiosity question from a newbie (ok, naive question?)... For incidents like this, how much fuel do the rigs carry and how long can they operate for? I see the EFD rigs refueling often while at TYA fields so keeping tanks topped is obviously important. Is it feasible given the fire scene to re-fuel (e.g., the guys who re-fuel construction equipment at a job site to re-fuel at a fire scene)?
