  2. Is Scarsdale getting a new ladder saw theirs for sale online ? https://www.firetruckmall.com/AvailableTruck/09671/2008-Crimson-103'-Aerial?price=0-1200000&year=1950-2017&chassis=Both&brand=All&pumpsize=All&tanksize=All&category=Aerials-Ladder-Trucks-Quints&warranty=All&region=All&mileage=Any Mileage
  3. Here you go Seth, for all to know it was redesigned around Feburary.
  4. Former Engine 66 now 67 is a permanent switch it is now fully labeled 67 including plates, I believe former Engine 70 went to 71 making former Engines 67 & 71 spares. The lighting package and body design are different on the new engines but as you said everything else is the same.
  5. Spy Shot White Plains Fire New Engine 66&70 caught outside city garage.... If not allowed please delete.
  6. Also makes for cheaper maintenance since the dpw uses same chassis easier parts to get and less down time depending on problem, as SECTMB said it works.
  7. Lol probably when the DPW starts using custom chassis.
  8. Thats how the graphics look on all the rear roll ups since about 2004-5.
  9. Empress was pretty busy in White Plains on their first day in the city, saw the fly car quite a few times and the ambulances going almost all day. Did Empress pick up the contract in White Plains or is it temporary ?
  10. I dont consider myself a expert either
  11. Letsgo1547 is correct with the expection that 68 & 69 are spares the active Engines are 65,66,67,70,71 Ladder 32 & 34 as 34 is staffed certain times of the day and all weekend, Tower Ladder 6 & Rescue 88. They have been managing to get 4 guys in some of the trucks now.
  12. Happy Birthday Seth Enjoy!
  13. White Plains has two Engines in production by Smeal.
  14. Thanks I should have read that a little More Clear.
  15. Hey guys just two quick questions: 1. Did Smeal put in a bid for the two engines ? 2. Has Ferrara worked out all the kinks in the Ultra chassis, mostly the problems the FDNY had been experiencing with some of their apparatus ? Other then that best of luck to YFD on their new Engines !
  16. What's the status of the KME engines that the FDNY is supposed to be receiving?
  17. Thank you so much x635 for the descriptive explanation to what is happening i really appreciate it. I understand that this is big for them and I understand taking there time with this as I would want all my Engines to be in top quality as well. Best of luck to them Fdny and Kme. Thanks again
  18. After the bankruptcy of American LaFrance they made a comeback but have they been delivering any new trucks ? I saw they had updated their website but they have many different things they "specialize" in now . My question is what are they doing as far as fire apparatus goes ? http://americanlafrance.com/
  19. May I ask where you read about the history at ? I would definitely like to check it out myself. Thanks in advance
  20. Station #4 also holds spare Engine 69 Station #5 no longer holds the volunteer Engine 210 it holds some police vehicles.
  21. I definitely get your point I was just stating my opinion on the chassis and how your right that a city shouldnt be running commercial chassis. And it would definitely increase the price on the custom chassis but it would definitely be worth the cost .... But i could be wrong please feel free to correct that.
  22. Here in White Plains we have all Commercial chassis Freightliners they tend to have alot more issues then the few Custom chassis we do have. They are nice trucks and are remarkably cheaper but I personally believe that the custom chassis would be better. Their isnt that much room in the Commercial chassis compared to the custom and granted all departments may not be looking for that its also something nice to just be concious of when specing your rigs. It's also weird when you have your Engine chassis the same as your garbage truck chassis just to save costs on parts when the trucks do go out smart idea but kinda tacky in my opinion.
  23. I found this article but its from 2007 so I don't know if anything has began to happen. http://www.nytimes.com/2007/02/11/realestate/11wczo.html?_r=0
  24. Pierce Mfg. and FAW of China made a agreement that Pierce build Rescue and Pumper bodies for China to be mounted on FAW chassis. Interesting to me.... does anyone see this as good marketing on Pierce's behalf ? http://www.piercemfg.com/en/pierce/news/Pierce-in-China.aspx
