  11. I'll wait untill your working to drive all over my response area testing the new system... According to the training class last night, Sept. 10th the system will be "activated". A chief or officer should be attending one of these training classes and then bring all the information back to you. A dvd powerpoint is included with the info. It's pretty straight foward.
  12. I was driving around my response area and came across this... what I think is a rather interesting picture,Just wanted to share it. First time I've seen a hydrant all "dressed up"!
  13. Well I never received that phone call from the mayor... Needless to say the hydrant is still covered. I guess I'll have to go to the code office monday morning.

  20. OnTheWheel... Your right on point, I personally have done alot of thinking(lately) and I wish our police officers and firefighters could work together in harmony, Most of the time we do get along. I guess cops aren't so bad The worst thing here is the "rumor mill" we all know how that works. So I guess it's time to offer up a HUG.
  21. Says there's no one with my name either...
  22. Nice shots!! Reminds me of E-11 before they painted it, I forgot how good it looked white.
  23. Our career guy's don't wait nor are they expected to unless they know volunteers are in the building then they'll ring the bell. I have to say the career guy's are pretty good when it comes to that. Our members are not permitted to respond to the scene they are to respond to HQ where we have 2 more engines and a rescue which are manned by volunteers. If everything is out of the house then they(volunteers) can roll the utility with manpower(2 or more). And if that is gone and it's a working fire then they are allowed to go to the scene. Highway calls no POV's at all, no exceptions. I hope this answers your questions. Dino
  24. Yes we have it. It is stored in the firehouse. It is suspended from the ceiling with a rope and pully system. We have a 9.9 Mercury motor also. It is above the rescue so if needed we just drop it to the roof and go. We have a mount set up on the rescue for the motor. I hope this answers your questions. Dino
