  1. Last I heard, Hartsdale was not keeping it forever, and it was going to be given back to Mt Vernon once they get situated with the ladder issue, and they didn't want to paint it multiple times. In other words, they're just borrowing it for now.
  2. If the green "like" box or rep box under our names on the sides of posts.was back, it'd be a great feature. It's nice that the likes count as rep points did, would just like to see the box back, and that'd be perfect. Thats my opinion.
  3. Only thing I don't like is reputation is gone, I liked that feature a lot and I believe others did also. When you say " normal" does that mean back to the same layout as the old one?
  4. Exactly. I was a little bumped off track when I saw the title of this, females, males, whoever can do it, can do it. Simple as that. Armonk FD has a wonderful chief, and I am sure in the upcoming years we will see more and more appear, well, at least I hope so.
  5. Attended it last year ( if it's the same one ) was great and plan on attending again this year.
  6. Truly amazing. Good luck to her and prayers are with your family for a safe return.
  7. I got the chance to get a picture of a FDNY Battalion chief. I personally think these are the nicest Battalion trucks yet, down there.
  8. We plan on going there next month some time- I'll see if I can get some photos of it, and be glad to share it here. I also will be photographing other things down in Murrells Inlet. Thanks for the info!
  9. I thought i'd share this video with you all.. Looks like the department knows what they're doing. Great job done by the department. Enjoy..
  10. Now it's official, he will be joining them...
  11. I heard the tones go out for the ambulance MVAC ( if this is the right one) and dispatcher was saying that they won't make it in time and that 60 control will assist them. Also PD repeated it to their officers that responded. ( If this is the right one) Congrats and great job Robbie!
  12. Only about 30 grand, think you could afford it? It is a very nice car.
  13. Very touching video.. My father attended the officers funeral in full respect. He had 10 + years on NYPD by that point, and was outraged by the fact that this actually happened. He had never ( as much as he can remember) heard or dealt with such a thing since he joined the department back then. He had never been to Texas, and was inspired to go for the first time, just to attend his funeral and pay full respect. 28 years on the job to the day, he attends mostly every funeral of a police officer or firefighters in the area when that time comes, only because of this event. R.I.P. Trooper Vetter.
  14. Count me in for that. Would be more than happy to go. Are those the confirmed dates?
  15. I agree on both sides, although it is sort of discrimination to some who would like to photograph some things that may be in the building, but thats another story. All in all, very interesting.. Would like to see what the final decision is and what people have to say..
  16. Very well said, and to add to the last part, it's good to know who surrounds you and if you know the chief maybe they'll allow you to stay just because they know they can trust you with them or they know you know where your boundaries are when at a scene. I've seen some people follow the firefighters to the door of a burning building, or follow EMS as they move the victim to the ambulance/helicopter, personally, I'd never get THAT close. For many reasons, including the victims privacy, for legal rights, etc. If I would like to photograph a scene, I tend to get the outside stuff.( rigs, personell, flames, helicopters, etc, etc) I think we should all just remember where the boundaries are, and what the photos will be used for.
  17. Close up video of it.. visit their website for more information & pictures.
  18. Final decisions being made Monday evening on the location of the event.
