they come to the medical er anyway for "medical clearance".....hope they give us staff to sit with these patients.....

they don't consult the people working in the ER let alone the people that are there for a few mins lol...it seems more time than non functionality is the least concern

...i looked at some articles about the accident...sounds like there were 3 kids involved....are Hackensack and Morristown Level 1 peds trauma centers....maybe that had something to do with the decision....

we use them in the er...very cool to watch....really helps out with difficult airways...most of the docs usually go straight for it rather than waiting for something to happen/not happen

It was the helicopter that was parked right outside the Emergency Room at WMC.....Saw them putting it on the truck yesterday..... the skids of the helicopter were hanging off each side of the truck.... didnt look that stable

I was just wondering what the process of becoming an NYPD dispatcher entails. What requirements do you need. Any experience necessary? I would love to get into NYPD dispatch. All info appreciated.... thanks

Does anyone know if you need experience for yonkers pd or fd dispatch?

Just had a question.... i live in yonkers and was monitoring them throughout the storm.... pretty busy down here as well.... towards to the end of the night after the storm passed FSU 1,2 and 3 came into service. They were pretty much only dispatched to trees and wires down to secure the scenes and than go 10-8. What are these FSU units and are they only called into service for major incidents/storms... or incidents that have a high call volume?

Multiple Yonkers and NYPD units on Tuckahoe Rd. in Yonkers, near the exit ramp of The NYS Thruway, last night around 1130p- 12a. Anyone know what went on? Possibly persuit? Came to work this AM and saw a couple of NYPD traffic and motorcycle cops hanging around the er.... any info?

Im working at Westchester Med. and everytime ive been outside there is a helicopter that has been circling around the back of the campus. It looks like its over the Saw Mill or Elmsford area. Its been there for the past hour and a half. I dont believe its STAT flight....Why would they just be circling around? Anyone know whats going on in the Elmsford area?

I have a friend who is very intrested in becoming a NYPD officer... I was wondering if anyone had any information on both the written and physical portion of the tests... what do they entail?? also any information on other resources that could help her prepare for the written test would be greatly appreciated (websites, books, etc.)
