The main thing I noticed was that they would be hired and given seniority.. So that mean that people who took the test 10 years ago and get hired right away would have seniority over someone who actually got hired 8 years ago etc.?

The Utility was originally designed as a "fire police" vehicle. We have always had two sets of tools with our "older" set being on a utility. Utility 5 is 2nd due to all MVA's... and first due when Rescue 20 is OOS

Our TOG also has the "radio pocket" on the left chest with the mic tab above it.. One problem I have is the way my scott pack strap comes down its directly over the radio pocket and the mic tab making acess to the radio almost impossible. Anyone else run into this problem?

I have heard that NYPD can't bring them some places because they are too sensitive and will activate. I might be wrong but I think Grand Central is one of those places?
