  12. As far as I know the North Bound Rt. 9 wasnt shut down untill a few before the helicopter was thier, because they opened it right after they left. Also, the vests arent just for the public. They are for us, thier have been several fire personal run over and killed by the firetruck moving on the scene of an inncodent. Scenes can get very out of control very quickly, you need to see everyone on that scene while moving the equipment. Wear your vests it will save your life. Thomas
  13. Saw them last night on your website. Great job Bill. I have to save my pennies I want to buy some, lololol. Great Job Bill. Thomas

  16. Lake Carmels Parade is tommorrow. So who is going??? Thomas
  17. Having 3 cars with heavy entrapment and shutting down a major roadway and 4 ambulance going ALS to Saint Francis. That seems SERIOUS to me. Also State Police said it was serious. PoJo.com http://www.poughkeepsiejournal.com/article...NEWS05/90809003 Thomas
  18. I hope everyone here under stands the orginal call for this was New Hamburg and Mobile Life. Then County dispatched New Hackensack and Town Of Wappingers for a second MVA in that area. Then it was determined it was a borderline call. The call was actually in New Hackensack Fire District. Hughsonville was covering due to mutiple New Hackensack Members Out Of Service. They needed four ambulance for four patients all ALS transport. Great Job by all from DC 911 down to the Probies on that scene. Thomas
  19. Pawling Parade is friday night. So who is going??? Thomas
  20. Well it is a good idea, but some companies or districts cant pay for two seats per firefighter. I could see getting them for active members for the volunteer service, people that show up more then once or twice a month. Or should have a couple of spare sets and you have to go threw Chief to use it. Thomas
  21. I have to agree my the souls rest in peace everyone that was lost that day, but please lets keep to the main reason of this topic. Which is Fire Boats at any emergancy pumping water to land. Please keep to it. This is a very good topic and could go far and we can all learn something on here. Please dont ruin it over saying a seriouslly stupid comment like that. Thank You. Thomas
  22. Also some places might not be able to get the Engine close enough or conditions might be really bad for the Engine to be on. Plus much easier to get a draft with it in the water then trying to get that draft up the hard suction line. Thomas
