Ed and 16Fire5...thanks for the info. Interesting staffing set-up that they have. Pretty cool that they run an off and 2 FF's on the ambulance. Even better is that they are equipped to run "non-ems" calls as well.

Hey Alex, welcome aboard and thanks for sharing the pic, hope to see more in the future. My department, Buchanan, will be taking delivery of a new rescue on a Spartan Furion chassis very soon. You may have seen the post and pictures of it, but i have included the link anyway. Its pretty sad that Miami's ambulances have "real" sirens , but our new rescue will not lol. Nice shots Chris, thanks for sharing! I like the "single and loving it" on the windshield of E67. Im guessing E67 is a single company house? I also like the ladder board on L34, very nicely done.

Nice shots everyone, whoever the hell took them lol. Im not familiar with this property at all, other than knowing there was a multiple alarm fire there a few years ago. Am i correct in that this campus is/was completely closed? Was this structure for offices or housing or what? Thanks in advance. Great job by all FD's that operated.

Sage, I listened to this incident from the on-set. Sounded like it could have had a much worse outcome, but thankfully the child was located rather quickly. May have been a mis-understanding between babysitter and parent(s), but i am not sure. I was quite impressed with the initial response by PPD and the way things were handled. I thought the Lt's decision to broadcast the childs info over the DPW radio was a good call. Peekskill DPW is quite large and would provide numerous set's of eyes throughout the area to assist in the search. A K9 was requested and called very early in the incident, but was luckily not needed. Good job by PPD and glad to hear it had a good out-turn.

I saw on Snews-12 that 3 firefighters were injured at the Spring Valley job the other day. However, i was unable to find anything on here. Anybody have any word on how those members are doing?
-
Chris, thank you for sharing so much info on the Aviation Unit. The pictures you added are incredible! It seems as though WCPD Aviation is much more active now than when i worked there in 01'-02.' As you said, you guys are now more pro-active than re-active. Having a helo has always been a great advantage, but having a newer helo with all of its technology is even better. Working with you, i know just how passionate you are about Aviation and it shows through and through. A big thank you to you and your fellow Aviation Unit members for what you guys do! You're our eyes in the sky and a huge benefit for the County.

Thats what i was trying to express, may not have used my words correctly lol. Thanks Chief.

ajsbear, the other "facility" that hudson and yourself are referring to happens to be the Mohegan Fire District. Hudson would know better than me, but i believe there has been at least 1 fire there that i can remember (80s, 90s?). These places are certainly of concern for soo many reasons. My father worked for Con Edison (since retired) and had to do work on some of these grounds. He too commented how outdated things are and how they most likely would not pass current fire code. Are they "exempt" because of their religious stature?
-
Bnechis and efdcapt...Priceless I too noticed the fire behind the lattice early on. Actually, you can see it from about 45 seconds into the video. Is it drop fire, a point of origin? Thank god they were soo concerned with breaking that front door. I started to time how long it took to force entry, but lost track and interest . It did appear that the first FF did "try before he pried." The member with the backward helmet...theres no words to describe my thoughts. Is that on purpose, does he know which way hes suppose to wear it or did he throw it on in such a hast that he put it on backward? Either way, its unacceptable. At about 3:35 into the video, a FF (MPO ?) stretches an additional line (+). However, the line is then charged with no FF's to man it. Its nice to have safety/back-up lines, but even nicer to have FF's to man those lines. Its rare that we critique career depts. Theres a lot of reasons for this. In this area, we are used to seeing "Professional" career depts operate. What i mean is that most career depts in our area are very well trained, prepared, experienced and professional in every aspect. If this is indeed a career dept, as it appears it is, this is a damn shame. Hell, things that were seen in this video would be unacceptable at any fire scene, whether in a career or volly district. Are these guys members of the IAFF? If so, im sure their brother union members would be quite concerned after watching this. Mr. Benz, thank you for finding and sharing this video with us. As Remember585 pointed out, this could be ANY of us (although it shouldnt be). Remember, big brother may be watching and you certainly dont want to be on a video such as this. Moral of the story; train, train and then train some more. Stay safe Have a nice Good Friday and a Happy Easter.

SWS, awesome work as always! I really like the color and lettering scheme on their patrol cars, they look sharp. I also like the quote on the back window.
