  6. The programming cable is a standard M-F RS232 Serial Cable. Staples has em. If you don't have a serial port use the IOGear USB to Serial adaptor. The software is made by http://www.butel.nl. Let me know if you need any more help.

  9. Basically what you're hearing is the control channel. Your not in trunking mode.
  10. Press the trunk button on your scanner to put it into trunk scan mode.
  11. Is their a correct list of talkgroups floating around? My scanner picks up nothing. I have the info from radioreference programmed in.
  12. No, it needs a portable that works on the Motorola Smartzone system. You are not able to program the portable yourself since you don't have the system key. Only the county holds that and will not give it out to ANYONE! They are not currently allowing departments to buy additional portables or mobiles at this time.

  15. Vinny, as I told you there are several different HT1250 radios. They have different features and do different things but look exactly alike. The LS models are LTR Trunking Radios but can have 16 conventional channels. They make an LS+ which can hold 32 conventional channels. They also make a pure HT1250 UHF which can do 128 channels, just like your VHF. A good resource for radio information is the batboard on the batlabs site. http://batboard.batlabs.com.
