Was the scene of an earlier fire, Car 3 on scene advising fully involved and it is a call back fire. Engine 1 is water supply, E5 is RIT. Bridgeport 1 Ladder & 1 Engine relocating to Fairfield Station 2. Stratfield FD R-15 in-service in quarters. Reporters: Writer: cas2383

Date:9/2 Time: 07:12 Location: 60 Talcott Road Rye Brook Frequency: 46.26, 46.06, PCFD FG Units Operating: E-59,E-64,E-61,E-62,E-60,L-30,L-31,C-2392,C-2393,U-65,RBPD,PCRRBEMS Weather Conditions: Clear mid 60's-70F Description Of Incident: Initial assignment dispatched for a residental alarm. Car 2393 arrived on scene and reported smoke showing possibly vacant house. E-62 added to assignment, E-60 Standing by in quarters. Car 2393 later advised 10-75, house not vacant 2 occupants unaccounted for searching for seat of fire; turning scene over to C-2392. E-60 & U-65 to scene for manpower, E-63 Standing by in quarters. Con-ed electric, WC C&O as well as building dept. also requested to respond. Units back in service a short while later. Reporters: Writer: cas2383

Frequency: 460.600 Units Operating: E1,E4,E2,L1,L2,Car3,Car1 Weather Conditions: clear Description Of Incident: Report of flames coming from a roof. Engine 1 arrived onscene confirmed fire on the roof; investigating further. Engine 1 later confirmed they do have a fire, Ladder1 and Ladder2 to building while Engine 4 secures a hydrant.   4. Date: 8/17/2011 Time: 00:08 Location: 515 Commerce Frequency: 460.600 Units Operating: Engines 2,1,3,4(special call as RIT),Ladders 2,1, Car 3. Weather Conditions: Clear Description Of Incident: Caller passing by reported seeing smoke from the building. Car 3 arrived to confirm heavy smoke coming from a block type bldg in rear. Ladder 2 reporting possibly on Fiske St. After a search they located a malfunctioning smoke stack, forced entry to building to find smoke throughout. Weather Conditions: Rain Description Of Incident: Resident called reported seeing smoke and flames from a nearby house. Engine 1 confirmed smoke showing upon arrival.   8. Just goes to show even returning from calls you need to be careful. People younger, older are all off in their own world and not paying attention to their surroundings.

  11. Survivor or Survivor LED. I had the regular Survivior light from FF1 and on, lasted me 9 years numerous fires/calls/drops etc then the charger went missing, so purchased the Survivor LED since it was only slightly more costly than a replacement rechargeable battery and charger. Both are great and the Survivor LED comes with the AA battery pack adapter and of course new charger that fits the older Survivor light! So I ended up with a new very powerful and yet small light and got my old one back in business. They are around $90 and up depending on the "accessories".

Originally called in as fire in the area of N. Regent and Westchester Ave. Arriving crews able to quickly determine location as 31 Summit Ave. E60 & U65 called to fill out the 10-75 assignment while E62 & 63 were on standby in quarters.
