  13. We have the 5.11 pullover vests with the side velcro straps. when I'm at the station tomorow I will get the model #. I dont know if maybe I'm misreading the law, but the copy of 23 CFR Part 634 that I read says nothing about an exemption for fire suppresion. The law reads: 634.3 Rule. All workers within the right-of-way of a Federal-aid highway who are exposed either to traffic (vehicles using the highway for purposes of travel) or to construction equipment within the work area shall wear high-visibility safety apparel. Does anyone have any information pertaining to the firefighting exemption? If you have any documentation or where to find it written down that woule be great. Thanks
  14. The bell, the same bell that was on the 1981 mack, and the 50's era mack before that, is out for re-chroming.
  15. Currently E92 goes on west side EMS calls and R37 on east side EMS calls. This is done for manpower for lifting, not as a BLS first response. The apparatus will not roll without making sure that the ambulance is covered, as we run a FD based ambulance not a VAC. As for the 1981 Mack MC, after all the equiptment is removed it will be sent to the highway garage, and the village will be putting it up for auction.

  18. The 996 or the bct15? I would prefer the 15 because of the cheaper price tag, but my radio guy says that only the 996 will work. As far as I can tell they are the same, except for the 996 having the digital option. Some insight into this will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  23. U62 will be used as a support/rehab unit. It will primaraly be stocked with ems supplies and will be used to tow the MDU Trailer & the Pub Ed Trailer. All but 6 seats have been removed from the bus and shelving has been installed. The vehicle will be kept in the parking lot of the Scarborough substation (E92) along with the trailers. It will be last due to any major fire incidents and first due to any MCI/HazMat incidents. I'll try and get some pics this week and send them in to Seth.
