  1. Thats pretty cool. A dignified end for what moslt likely was a good truck
  2. There is no need for a multi-tool in the field. If something needs to be removed then remove it with the shears if it can not be cut then leave it alone. You are not out there to perform surgery, if it will not come out of the victim/pateint then leave it alone. Our job is to get the patient to the hospital in the same or better condition then we found them.
  3. Nice rig and killer video by the way the theme song from Rescue Me is C'Mon C'Mon by the Von Bondies
  4. good thing he was wearing his helmet and i want to see what that helmet looks like now. Lucky him it could have been a lot worse
  5. What are you going to need this multi tool for that might help us understand better If it is for general use always go with a leatherman even the cheaper ones are really good and will not break If it is for turnout gear get a spring loaded single blade but again it really depends on what you are using it for
  6. I know that many departments opperate with Darley pumps but i want to know if any departments have any apparatus designed and/or built by darley and if so can they show the pictures of that rig. Thanks.
  7. I have a question about mini-attacks. What company makes but best Mini-attacks? I was looking at some of the Darley wildland or quick attack. These trucks look the best for the needs of my department as a truck to get into areas where the engine can not get to. What is the price that one would expect for a truck that should fill this capacity. Bedfords Mini-attack 7 is a great truck that is a GMC and has served our community well in its 22 or so years but it is felt that it is time for it to be replaced. I will try to get a pic of what i was thinking of.
  8. You would kind that there is common good here but appearently not... any one that tries this stunt should be thrown into a padded room because what are you honestly going to do with a firetruck i mean come one. while i do not condon stealling a car, if you are going to steal one make it anice one not a big huge and conspicus fire truck and that sucks about it being new and having to use old eqipment. maybe we should give them a hand or at least have the maker fix it because they kinda need to put out fires
  9. Here is another game. Its called Rescue Blade and it is a cross between stat flight, fire fighting and it is really cool. http://www.shockwave.com/sw/content/rescueblade

  11. I was in thrid period english, when my teacher got a note from a hall moniter and started crying and said that the this was no joke and that the towers had been hit and had fallen it must have been around 10:30 because it was right before lunch. I will never forget that day 346 gone but not forgotten
  12. First good job supporting our brothers in arms. Second, that truck seems newer than say even engine 110 in bedford. How old is that truck and what is going to replace it.
  13. Engine 109.....................end of story
  14. The Firehouse is my palace. My father is a foreman in Bedford Village and I am a junior corp member there as well. It is kinda a family tradition that has only been around for 3 years. Before I was a junior corp member was washing trucks, hanging out in the Firehouse and getting to know the members. Now anytime I can be in the house or around the members, I am. I am not ashamed for any reason to admit that some of my best friends are firefighters and emts in Bedford. It is true that firefighters and emts are among the nicest and coolest people.
