I am a town of Wappinger resident and I think this law is BS. This was pushed by the same dictator that wants to be county executive. If someone wants to use ambulance service B instead of A then they should be able to do so. If the person wants to pay out of their own pocket for service from B then let them do so. Beacon Vac is always missing equipment. It doesn't matter how large you put your name, phone number, paid postage ect. some people just don't care about who it belongs too

I'm no lawyer and just pulling this information from my undies but I believe that If it is a accident the FD takes charge until the victims and or hazards are removed. If it is a fire than the FD owns the scene until the fire is out and personnel and equipment have been removed. *If it is a fatal fire the pd are gonna want that scene as soon as they can...so they can wait an hour for the crime scene /reconstruction team to get there. Like I said this could be totally false info but I think that's the way it works. (someone wanna send me to law school???)

How much of an impact will this have on the LFD? The FD is controled by a fire district, are they in agreement to this proposal?

You can also rent the mini club cars, they are fun and if you go south a couple miles there is a go cart track that I hear is awsome. And you can always hit the bars (if your old enough) walking distance from the many hotels in the village. Have Fun!
