  2. It doesn't seem so. It looks like a special call since I don't thinks any Westchester deartments have a purple K Unit.
  3. I know one is a Con Ed transformer fire which is probably where the Purple K is responding to. I just saw on the incident alert that the other was a taxpayer fire.
  4. The FDNY is sending two engines, a purple K unit, and possibly a battlion and division mutual aid to the working fire in White Plains. Unsure of Which FDNY units at this time.
  5. Congrats to the Armonk FD on their 80th anniversary. Your parade was very nice and luckily the rain held off. Just wondering if anyone had the parade results from the Armonk parade?
  6. I Phone app is great! Easy and quick to use and real easy to look up incidents and new topics. Thank you and great job as always!
  7. Mount Kisco Fire Department Parade is Friday, July 9th at 7PM. Beford Village Fire department Parade is Fiday, July 30th at 7PM. Also Mount Kisco Memorial Day Parade is Sunday, May 30th at 2PM. Hope to see you at the parades!
  8. Bad Box, Yes I understand your point. I was adding to the discussion since no one had added there were injuries during the fire attack. As I said they were treated at the scene and are back in full duty. Thanks. - Stay Safe
  9. Remeber 585 totally correct. We were initially dispatched to a possible structure fire and before the page was finished it was upgraded to confirmed structure fire. The paramedic 45-M1 alerted 60 Control of the fire, where the fire was, and that he eveacuated 3 people from the appartment. When MKFD Car 2283 arrived moments later he upgraded to Working Fire (10-75). Communication couldn't be clearer. The situation was very clear for the incoming ff's thanks to 45-M1. Bad Box as to injuries many were prevented by the 45-M1 but two firefighters were injured. One with heat exhaustion and the other with a minor gash. Both minor injuries which were treated at the scene. Great job 45-M1 and everyone elso on scene.
  10. On the topic of the fireboats what is the duty of a wiper on the boat?
  11. Yes thank you very much Chief Henry and all that organized the Lt. Fredericks Seminar. I always look forward to this event and I have always learned valuable information from the speaker and great tips to use on the fireground. As others have stated Chief Mittendorf was a wonderful speaker and a very funny guy. He brought up great points and showed the importance of paying attention on the fireground. Thanks again, already looking forward to the seminar next year!
  12. Mount Kisco FD has a FAST Team. It consists of members from all companies. The team uses Utility 13 with Engine 106 as backup. Both are stationed at Station 3 (Independent Fire Co.) The U-13 and E-106 both can sit 10 ff's and both are equiped for FAST.
  13. link Me too, I heard Thornwood's ladder was still covering just before seven.

  17. One victim reported chest pains. Passed the accident myself. Driver went over the double yellow didn't look to good. They're lucky they only had chest pains.
  18. Now that would be awesome as a RAC unit.
  19. I'm not sure if this was brought up before or not so sorry if im repeating a question but is the city looking to get Ferrara contracts for engines or other units too? I know they do have some Ferrara units already: E54, E26, Hazmat 1. I know they were just getting the new order from Seagrave for engines so I know it would be a while for a new contract. I was just wondering.
  20. Just wondering where were they in Mount Kisco? By Northern Westchester or in town? Did Westchester EMS take over for them?
  21. Hey not to sure on what type of equipment or their equipment setup but Mount Kisco Fire Rescue 15 (Heavy) and Rescue 31 (Light) both carry the Jaws. Rescue 15 also carries cribbing and the rescue jack system.
