I haven't lost or broken any pagers, but i've had a couple nextels go swimmong in the toilet, but that was AFTER flushing, but a quick grab, removal of the battery, a good wash, and several hours of drying time and they were fine.

Ok, now, think about this. It's a question for one of our LE members to answer. Ya know when Mommy or Daddy are driving drunk, they are often times hit with an additional charge of endangering the welfare of a minor. Well when some Richard Noggen type gets charged with arson, how about reckless endangerment? He is not only placing the lives of the responders in jeopardy, but also the public they encounter on the road, and there's a good chance, especially with a dumpster, of creating a hazzardous atmosphere around it. Just an idea, any LEOs care to comment on the feasability of something like this?

Mike, I agree with you. I don't think we need to carry on about the brotherhood issue any more! There's plenty other stuff in this thread open for discussion. So ket's drop this issue!

Partial quote from Associated Press and MSNBC ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - A police officer died Monday after crashing his motorcycle while riding in a motorcade as President Bush prepared to leave the city following a fundraiser for Sen. Pete Domenici. Rio Rancho Officer Germaine Casey, 40, was rushed to an Albuquerque hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The motorcycle was near the front of the motorcade, and the president saw the wreck as he drove past on the way to the airport, said Rio Rancho Police Department spokesman Officer John Francis. Thoughts, prayers, and condolences to Officer Casey's Family, Friends, and Brothers and Sisters in the Albuquerque PD.
