  6. wow that is totally true Remember585 i have to agree with what you said about it all depends about the people that are in the rescue company, and i think that is a good point but to be good rescue company you have to have good equipment in order to do the job
  7. I feel that it is a good idea to because now you can say engine 165 is responding or we are back in severice. Also you don't have to remember the 10-codes some codes like a 10-75 or 10-10 are codes that should be kept i think that the best plan would be a combe of both clear and 10 codes more clear text then 10-codes

  17. Ardsley operates a Quint It is the first due to all strutce fire and automantic alarms Yes we are because we have a another truck that has water on it and can do more we can operate a land hind with out be hooked up to a hyrdant which helps if there are only 3 or 4 people on hte truck Truck company 400 gallons and 1500 gpm and no it has not pushed the limts of the safe GVW Yes we can cause now if their are only enough guys to get a line in then we don't have to worry about getting hooked up to a hyrdant right away we have tank water also the pump operator can do more besides just moiving the ladder around.

  21. i don't know of any in Westchester, except for Yonkers EMS/Empress, which is a Haz-Tac unit , but i can tell you that in Rhode Island there are several different stations that are part of the state wide Haz-Mat team. For example one station is a de-con, another one is a entry team, and so on. That would be a great idea for Westchester to do.
