  1. Hello, Just wondering if there would be any possibility that a forum could be created for way upstate - Albany, NY? I live in the area, and it would be great to see an Albany Section for threads. Thanks in advance, Eli
  2. As of 0900 This morning (11/03/04), Rescue Company 6 has been disbanded. Rescue 1 has returned to "normal" coverage (Covering All of Manhattan)
  3. It's still in the quarters of L20 On Lafyette, The doors and cabinets are still loaded but padlocked shut. I suoopse it might eventually make it way to Rndalls island or Rosevelt. It could go into service again, just probablly not as rescue 6. Not sure, but it could maybe be used as a reserve. Other Disbanded rigs, Engines & Ladders for example, Depending on their condition can go into the reserve or training pool. Or it might just sit at Da' Shops or Randalls untill they scrap it or canibalize it. Some of them get sold off.
  4. I would say, FDNY should purchase 1-2 Tankers per borough.
  5. THANK YOU AND HAPPYBIRTHDAY!!!
  6. I love this forum! HAPPPY BIRTHDAY!!! =D>
  7. I belive once an FDNY company is disbanded, a new one has to go into service, so instead of Rescue Co. 6, We may see Rescue Co. 7. Or nothing more at all. I know they had to change the numbering of an Eng Co awhile back because of this rule about disbanded co's. Look at it this way, now they even get their own patch (for being a disbanded co) Also Those CR Units are still in service, probally will be for a while, I belive thy are unstaffed or rotated.

I keep most of my apparatus in my "model fire company" it has 5 stations, and the rigs in it are constantly changing. The rest of my die cast goes on a table with shelves or in to a display case I hand crafted in my school shop. I love to chat and post on the message board, and work on my website. I also love taking photos of fire apparatus (espcially FDNY, and NYPD SOD) Http://www.10-75.tk
