  1. There are a lot of skells that work there, i've locked up a bunch of them, none the less i do agree that it is going to be a blow for yonkers. This will just be another under a long list of failures for mayor amiclown
  2. I really could care less if he's a firefighter, the bottom line is that he is ripping people off and doing shoddy work when he does do it. After people see and hear about this I really don't think he's going to have to worry about too many people calling him for estimates any more. The bottom line is MAN UP AND PAY WHAT YOU OWE !!!!!!!
  3. I am a life long republican and DID NOT vote for obama but I am taking a wait and see approach to his presidency. He has 4 years to make a positive change. My biggest fear is that he will not be strong enough against terror and that he will make us more vulnerable to an attack. Let's remember that no matter what you think about george bush he has kept the country safe since 2001.
  4. wow I guess it's true, us cops really can do it all !!!!!! P.S. I'm kidding guys
  5. this was a travesty of justice from the get go but at least these guys will be out of jail and home where they belong. I hope they sue for their jobs back and get reinstated with full back pay !!!

  7. In Yonkers, the department gave the precinct anti crime units night vision as well as regular binoculars and image stabilization binoculars... they work pretty well
  8. I actually saw this show last week, at first I thought it was going to be stupid but it was actually pretty cool and now I'm hooked, I'm glad it's coming back
  9. I have to work tonight and regretably won't be able to attend but I send my support to Detective Sergeant Bonura, keep your head up brother you will get through this. It's a disgrace how Pleasantivlle has treated him, those of us in law enforcement in westchester already know that the DA's office isn't on our side but when your job turns on you thats nonsense, how dare they turn on a decorated veteran cop for speaking the truth. I guess nothing in civil service should come as a suprise these days

  11. When I worked in patrol I never had a problem closing a road, no matter where it was. It's safer for all involved , victims and responders if the road is closed. The fact of the matter is that most road closures are short lived anyway except at a serious incident so mast times its a non issue.
  12. those are great pics... It's great having that helo around, it seems to show up in yonkers pretty often and is great support
  13. the way i see it is if the road needs to be closed, it needs to be closed end of story, no matter who's call it is, if it is in the best interest the people working at the scene then so be it, close it if you need to

  15. I don't care if he was found not guilty of murder, he is still a cop killer top me, this animal was sentenced to 10 years in prison for his part in the crime. This is in no way justice for PO Enchautegui but a small victory none the less. Hopefully Lilo gets the "Full" treatment in jail. God Bless you PO Enchautegui, you are never forgotten.
  16. I just read some of the above posts regarding Israel and its creation, etc. What everyone needs to realize is that Israel is the only country on the arabian peninsula that is truly keeping Iran in check. these countries all want to destroy Israel but in reality they fear it. We need to support Israel in their fight against hamas and the PLO and the other muslim extremists because lets face it, they are not only enemies of Israel thay are our enemies too.
  17. oil went back up to $ 50 dollars a barrel but then leveled off and backed down. At the Super Value on Tuckahoe Rd. in Yonkers, regular went from $ 1.81 up to 1.89 in a day and then back down to 1.83 the next day, I don't get it but it is what it is.
  18. what a nut, i've been to some great domestics but nothing like this
  19. I'm gonna try to keep this thread going "If you can find lower prices anywhere, my name ain't Nathan Arizona."
  20. I will be in DC for police week 2009. For those of you who haven't experienced it as of yet , you really need to take a few days off and go, It's one of the greatest cop for cop things you can ever do. If there are a bunch of Emt Bravo members going we should try to meet up down there to attend the candle light vigil. Like I said if you haven't gone yet you really need to, it's like nothing you've ever done before. It's at the same time the saddest thing you've ever done and the proudest thing you've ever done to be there honoring our fallen brothers and sisters !! The hotels in DC fill up quick so now would be the time to make a reservation for may.
  21. I'm glad to see he got picked up by another agency. I hope the North Castle elected officials one day regret their decisioon to lay off a cop.
  22. I am a life long republican and I voted for John McCain. I also think that he got a raw deal in as much as the media was dead set against him from the start and as we all know the media has a ton of power when it comes to electing someone. I am taking a wait and see approach with his presidency. I appreciate the fact that he has been somewhat bipartisan in his cabinet picks, but we will see how long that will last. There was a poster who said something to the effect of that the cabinet doesn't set policy, the president does... well if that were true which it isn't we are in a whole heap of trouble because we have an incoming president who knows NOTHING about foreign policy or anthing else for that matter. He seems to be a smart congenial man but lets hope he leads us in the right direction and not further down the tubes where we are now.
  23. that was a great slide show, let's hope they have what it takes this year. It's hard enough being a met fan year after year but getting so close and then having to watch implosion after implosion is just tough to take !!! Let's Go Mets !!!
  24. ok guys I'm liking this thead let's keep it going..... "Hard work? Listen, Sherlock! While you were tucked away up here working on your ethics, I was out there busting my hump in the REAL world. And the reason guys like you got a place to teach is 'cause guys like me donate buildings "
