Brauns are very good ambulances. Depending on what the need is depends on what you should look at. I have worked in many Brauns Peekskill VAC runs 3, CCVAC has 1 which is currently up for sale. Currently looked at the signature series nice truck not enough interior lighting. I must say the new chevy chasis do not fancy me. I'm a ford guy and will always love the fords.

I find it hard to believe that the City of Peekskill blew something like 6.5million dollars on vacant properties that where owned by friends of the mayor and city council. As a resident of peekskill I am greatly worried about this. And have expressed such to the mayor. Maybe if she took a pay cut as well as other high city seats then these jobs would be saved.

As of last night Cortlandt Vac has ordered 2 Demers Mystere MXP 150 on F-350 4x4 chasis. Expected to get delivery of first unit at the begining of November or end of Octocber.

I saw this same truck at WMC a few months back. There were also 2 transcare trucks that said organ escort unit.

Bids are currently all in. Right now its narrowed down to 2 potential rigs

The last ambulance was replaced 6 years ago with B2.

Our oldest ambulance is an B3 it has the 7.3 liter V-6. B1 and B2 have the 6.0 liter V-6 which we all know isnt the best desiel engine that ford came out with. we wanted to trade in B2 to get more of a discount on a the new ambulances. one company is offering us a good amount of money as a trade in the other 2 not so much. that was our thinking.

In the last 5 years ive seen more and more funeral processions some with purple lights, some with clear lights, some with purple flags. I know the local funeral home here in montrose uses clear strobes in the fog lights of their hurse as a warning device.

Yes ccvac is relacing B2. The officers line and busniess have sat down and discussed this. It is most feasable way to get more of a trade in value for B2 and B1. However B1 was sold to a private buyer

Cortlandt VAC has gone and looked at 2 Ford F350 4x4's to replace a 2006 E450 w/ quigley 4x4 conversion as well as a 2004 E350.

Hey all if anyone is around Friday night and can make it for a small get together let's meet around 7pm at welcher ave. A&P in peekskill. Its a big open parking lot and could be a lot easier to get in and out of.
