WITH REGRETS I POST THE UNTIMELY DEATH OF LANCE CPL SEAN M. JACKSON A RESIDENT OF MONTROSE. SEAN PASSES AWAY AFTER A TRAGIC MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT ON SUNDAY 5/MAR/06 IN BEAUFORT S.C. WHILE STATIONED AT PARIS ISLAND . A MEMBER OF THE USMC WHO WAS PROUDLY SERVING HIS NATION. SON TO THOMAS JACKSON (SGT. WCPD) AND BERNICE JACKSON OF MONTROSE. SEANS EXTENDED FAMILY INCLUDES HIS SISTER (EMILY) HIS GRANDMOTHER MARY AS WELL AS SEVERAL AUNTS AND UNCLES FROM MONTROSE. OUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH THE JACKSON FAMILY DURING THIS TIME OF SORROW. RIP SEAN - J CARROLL

I graduated with Sean from Hen Hud in 2000 and was very saddened to hear of his passing. Sean was a great kid, he was quiet, but outgoing.

Another tragic, sad loss for the USMC. A young man, serving his country & making a better life for himself and to die so suddenly...just doesn't seem fair.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Jackson family and the USMC.

May Sean rest in peace.

God bless Marine. Americans slept soundly because they knew you were ready to do harm to our enemies in their name.

I'm sure by now Sean has been issued a rifle and is on patrol with my grandfather. Semper Fi brother, you are always alive in spirit and in my heart as a fellow Marine.
