Upcoming Apparatus

14 posts in this topic

While looking through Fire Apparatus and Emergency Equipment Magazine I noticed there is a column on recent appartus orders.

Among local orders listed are:

Montrose Fire District - American LaFrance Eagle Pumper 1500GPM/500Gal. delivery expected November.

Peekskill FD - E-One Cyclone II 19' Heavy Rescue 500GPM/400Gal.

delivery was expected in April.

*Note - this column is in the hardcopy I saw at the Firehouse, not in the online version.

Peekskill delivery would be April 2007, magazine print was in error.

Is this an addition to the fleet or a replacement for Fire Patrol E-134?

port chester, mt kisco, and white plains are researching new ladders. rye will be replacing eng 192 with a seagrave. the sutphen that now is 192 will become eng193 and the 1982? hahn will be replced. also a twin to ladder 25 will be ordered and become lad 25 while the current lad 25 will become lad26 replacing the 1985/1955 spartan/maxim ladder.

Carmel's is actually going to be more of a Rescue Pumper. On-board hydraulics, speedy dry hopper, command-canopy, etc.

Thanks to the US of A for their grant.

Man, I gotta win the lottery soon. Too many sweet lookin' rigs are being replaced. I want some of 'em! I assume the '83 Mack is what Mt. Kisco is replacing? And/or the older Pierce?

Amen Andy lol! I wish i could have bought our 69' Young/GMC (Engine 162) when we got rid of it.

And i definately wish i (or someone local) could buy the current Engine-119 (1984 Mack). The rigs of the past were the best, hands down!
