It is with deep regret to announce the sudden passing of Firefighter Santo Giampapa of the Greenville Fire Dept. on June 2, 2006. Prior to his appointment to the Greenville Fire Dept., Firefighter Giampapa served with the Town of Mamaroneck Fire Dept. and the City of New Rochelle Fire Dept. Services are as follows:

Santo was a great firefighter but an even greater person. He will truely be missed. Please keep his family, friends and fellow firefighters in your thoughts and prayers.

Obituary with services information as published by the Journal News on June 5th, 2006

Santo Giampapa, III, of Wall Township, NJ (formerly of New Rochelle, NY), died on Friday, June 2, 2006 at home. He was 38. Mr. Giampapa had worked as a firefighter for Greenville Fire District in the town of Greenburgh, NY. Mr. Giampapa was born September 6, 1967 in New Rochelle, NY to Santo Giampapa, Jr. and Theresa DiCarmine Giampapa. He was educated in New Rochelle and graduated from First Christina Academy in 1985, he earned a high school degree. He is survived by his loving wife, Heather Lynn (nee Skilton); his son, Santo, Jr.; his mother Theresa Giampapa (nee DiCarmine) and numerous loving aunts, uncles and cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Santo Giampapa, Jr. Visitation, Wednesday, June 7 , 2006 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Tarrytown, where the Funeral Service will be held at 3 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Santo Giampapa Memorial Fund to benefit the needs of families of local firefighters. Only 38 years old. Local 1586 suffers another untimely loss of a good man. RIP Santo.

firefighter Giampapa wil be missed by all that knew him. Firefighter heven now has one more firefighter that has met an untimely death. Life is too short so enjoy every minute--I know Santo did.
