pictures like these make me hate the taxpayers in my district with a fiery passion. and also gives me more motivation to take my westchester exam. blink.gif

Yonkers gives a separate test.

The rig looks great! Real sharp, nice looking layout. It'll be nice to see it around town.

Best of luck

Batt 2 - was that the new L74 I saw working the all-hands the other day?

Good luck with the new Rescue, looks like a solid rig.

Yes, that was the new L74 at the 10-30 on Oliver Avenue on 6/13.

With R1 now in service, all new apparatus purchased and received so far this year; are now in service within the city.

With the New 2007 ALF Eagle HD YFD Rescue 1 now in service, and knowing that the Old Rescue 1 will now become the "Spare Rescue Unit", has YFD designated what the Old Rescue Rig will now be called? (Rescue 2) ? Also, have the Old Ladders 70, 73 and 74 (Seagrave, Smeal, and Seagrave) been redesignated yet as well? (ie: Ladder 76, 78 and 79)?

The new spare apparatus haven't been given County numbers as of today. Some of the older rigs will be disposed of and the new designations will be assigned...

NEW R1 and Old R1 look almost the same so you might have been confused

While the new & old look similiar - they are both currently at Station 1 - The old one was on the road for a few hours this morning - for the next several weeks the old one will be kept at station 1 to facilitate the transfer of equipment and switch over if adjustments are necessary to the new one during the break in period

Chief - Once the transfer and break in period has been completed, will the Old Rescue (will be then be called Rescue 2) be housed at Station 1 or will it be housed up at Ridge Hill as a completely stocked Spare or Reserve Rescue Rig? How do the guys like the New R1?
