I heard a rumor that it might be lime

And that's just what it is, a rumor....it's red. It's already been painted.

White over red........other colors in the running were.......black over red.....and...gun steel blue

It will also have a light tower and 750 gal booster tank (no red line)......pretty much a standard pumper after that.

I believe he was just joking. We already knew what the paint scheme was.

Well, that's how rumors get started. You knew what the paint scheme was, but did the other members know? The point is, don't make an "inside" joke or comment that could start a rumor on this forum. Thanks.

If this rig is going to be first due to I-95 now, those scene lights should be very beneficial.

How tall is the light tower behind the cab?

The light tower sits flush to the cab in the down position. When fully extenden it rises to 20 feet in height. It is operated by air pressure and can rotate to any position.

E-51 will be first due on structure, invetigation, CO calls etc. At this time it is third due to Thruway/I-95 calls. E-36/Res-6 0r E-36/E-37 is the first due responce to the Thruway/I-95.

Thanks LTNRFD. Wasn't sure if they were going to change the response patterns.

I had the chance to shoot the new Engine 51 this morning. I was really impressed. It seems like this Engine was designed with the way the department operates in mind. It also has tons of space for future storage, or the addition of extrication equipment and accesories. Very well thought out and different. I particularly liked the brow lights above the driver and officers door, makes for finding addresses on a dark street when you're alone much easier.

Great photos! Very sharp and sleek looking rig. I can honestly say that I am a KME fan now because of the Predator. I used to hate those god-awful Renegades and Excels that they produced for years. Best of luck with the new engine Mamaroneck Town!
