Good luck man. But you will never find such a list in Putnam County.

Although, I have alot of work on my hands at work work doing marine resources for mutual aid, I'll see if I can get around and make a list for posting on the county webpage. Thanks for the idea and i will let you know if it comes to being done.

Putnam doesn't have specific engine number assignments (eng 147). They are based on the dept. number

11-2-1 Brewster engine

11 Department ID, 2 Unit type, 1 Engine number.

Unit types:

1 -Chiefs, (1-1, 1-2, 1-3)

2 - Engine

3 - Brush Truck

4 - Tanker

5 - Ladder

6 - Rescue

7 - Ambulance

8 - Utility

9 - Captain or Lieutenant

Hope this helps

If it helps. Patterson has:

22-2-1 a 1994 Sutphen 1500/1000, used mainly as a source engine

22-2-3 a 2000 Sutphen 1500/1500, used as a engine, but with the capability to act as a tanker (10" dump chute in rear)

22-2-5 a 1993 Sutphen 1500/1000, the first due engine out of Station #1( 2-1 and 2-5 are almost identical, often referred to as twins).

22-2-2 is the departments 1958 Mack, currently out of service, with a possible restoration being investigated. (Dept Antique)

22-2-4 was donated to a department in Mississppi (IIRC) after Hurricane Katrina with no plans to replace it at this time.

DUTCHESS COUNTY FIRE APPARATUS

APPARATUS TYPES

I think some of it might be out of date, but I hope it helps. If you are looking for what responds to differant calls. It depends on the department and the company. Some trucks have what others don't. Arlington runs three engines and a ladder on an AFA. East Fishkill runs two engines. It all depends on your area and what you have. So I hope this helps and if I am wrong on anything feel free to correct me.

Yea, there is quite a bit of out of date information there. Don't know the last time it was updated.

Hey Grumpy, what do you guys have in Station 2? Are the rigs first due in that area of town or are they spare rigs? I live nearby and always wondered, thanks.

Station 2 house 2-3, 4-1 a 1986 International tanker 2300 gallons (with a small pump),2-2 (the 58 Mack), and 3-1 a 1988 Ford brush truck also oos with plans for replacement. 2-3 is first due on all calls, when it can get a crew. Station 2 is used mostly by guys that live in the area, although we did stop and pick up 2-3 last month for a possible structure fire in Fox Run.
