What is a "buff"?

Does Any One Really Know What The Word BUFF or BUFFING Really Means Becuse i Have Been called a buff a few time but now that i think of it i really do not know what a buff is.

Does Any one Know That can help me ???

I think pretty much any of us that post on EMTBravo can be defined as some kind of buff. There is clearly a lot of experience and good conversation here that might help us be better LEO/FF/EMT types, but the majority is for the buff.

I think a buff, is someone who picks a subject, enjoys it and learns everything they can about it.

LOL. Not everyone.

Buffs also tend to be people that are concern and worry themselves about incidents and events in other areas or from other agencies that really have nothing to do with them or concern them. Or know everything about nothing in regard to gear, t-shirts other departments politics, who is where doing what and when or how and usually starts a conversation with..."hey did you hear..." or "Yo, this stays between us but, I heard from so and so, from so and so that..."

Or for a readily identifiable buff you can always go see 75-1-? LOL.

Its tastefull We all like to keep in contact with the martians

He's just waiting for the next hamfest to pick up some more radios and antennas. Maybe even a sattelite dish for some mobile moon bounce. I'm sure he can fit it somewhere on his lumina.
