I knew the Esposito family from when I was down on the Island and I wish them all of my thoughts and prayers.

It is with regret that the Office of Fire Prevention and Control announces the death of Firefighter Michael P. Esposito of the Baldwin Fire Department in Nassau County on May 18, 201l while operating at a structure fire.

Viewing hours are Saturday, May 21, 2011 from 7pm to 9pm, Sunday, May 22, 2011 from 2pm to 4pm at the Fullerton Funeral Home, 769 Merrick Road, Baldwin, NY 11510, and, also on Sunday, from 7pm to 8 pm at the Saint Christopher’s Roman Catholic Church, 11 Gale Avenue, Baldwin, NY 11510.

Fire department service will be at 8pm on Sunday, May 22, 2001 at the Saint Christopher’s Roman Catholic Church. For further information, please contact Baldwin F. D. Chief Kevin Smith at 516-223-1623.

Funeral service is Monday, May 23, 2011 at 9:45am at the Saint Christopher’s Roman Catholic Church, 11 Gale Avenue, Baldwin, NY 11510.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Firefighter Esposito’s family and the members of the Baldwin Fire Department.
