Empress EMS EMT Elvin Delgado has fallen ill to a rare form of cancer,

from which recovery will be long and difficult.

He is a 15 year veteran of Empress EMS.

He has always approached everyday with a smile to the start of his day and to every patient he meets. Now we need to help him keep that smile, for himself, for his family by showing him the support he has from all of his friends, his family in Emergency Services.

Elvin is a HELLUVA good guy and I wish him well.

Years ago when we worked a Tac Bus together, he gave me an old, authentic Halligan bar that he got from a guy in his building who retired from the FDNY. Apparently he was nicknamed "The Locksmith"...LOL

I still have that bar in my camper..only way to get it on the hitch right..

I worked with Elvin at Empress as well. I'm suprised to hear this news, it's really saddening. Empress EMS employees enocunter so much personal tragedy over the years, yet, as always, the Empress family always rallies to help one another.

My best wishes to Elvin in his battle against this!
