Just watched the pilot episode of Brooklyn Nine-Nine with Andy Samberg. Actually a pretty decent cop show with good laughs. I can't confirm the authenticity of the NYPD stuff in the show, but I like it and hope it continues.

I haven't seen it yet, but Not counting Cop Rock, this might be the first show since Barney Miller to treat police work in a comedic way and make it work. Everything the "last precinct" was not.

I just caught this show On-Demand, and I must say, it's promising. Laughs the first episode, hope to see that trend continue.

The Captain was great when in played in Homicide about the Baltamore City PD, however one would wonder how Andy Sandberg's character could have even gotten a gold shield in the NYPD
