While 30 patients sounds overwhelming there is a big difference between 30 walking wounded and a much smaller incident with 10 critical. Severely injured patients tax your medical and firefighting resources. Triage and rapid trsnsport of your critical patients is vital to efficiently managing your scene. Even if you cant get 20 ambulances on the road there's a lot you can do on scene and FDs should not just bd relying on EMS to bail thfm out here. Unless you're assigning EMS on all of your structural alatms odds are you'll be waiting with the initial patients for EMS to arrive.

First, everyone overreacts over what now appears to be a miscommunication.
Then, the proposed solutions basically include harassing the toll-takers, because let's be real, we all know they are the ones making the policies. (Let's not do something drastic like make legitimate contact with the powers that be and explain why this is a bad policy.)
Then if that doesn't work, we advocate just blowing through the toll plazas. No big deal there, so a DOT worker or two gets blasted. No harm, no foul. Or maybe just destroy some DOT equipment.

They will find you, or your dept. Its not that hard. In the Early 90's my old dept had 2 guys who thought it would be funny to go lights and sirens with an engine and chiefs car thru the tolls on the Tappan Zee while returning from the mechanic's shop. Like I said, the State Trooper who wass assigned to it was none too happy. Neither was the chief when he got that phone call.
NY10570 can probably remember how fast the chief got to our fire house after a prank at Bedford's parade one year was observed by the local police. The truck hadn't even begun to back into our house when he pulled up after getting a phone call late at night about our hijinks

The overwhelming majority of my jumps were at the Ranch. Top notch staff and very professional. Have a great time.

MTA tried this in NYC. When reminded the real cost of PD, Fire, and EMS responses they decided it was worth the free tolls.

SkyDive the Ranch is an awesome place with great staff and relaxed atmosphere. As i said in my earlier post, my wife took me for my birthday a few years ago and i absolutely loved it. If its something you only do once or you go on to get certified, its definately something to put on your "bucket list."
Hell, my father paid for my mother to go for her 65th Birthday lol!

Just a word of advice; do all of the paperwork online before you get there. This way you'll be basically ready to go when you arrive for your scheduled jump.

Ramapo is a town made up of several smaller villages and hamlets. Like Greenburgh or Mt. Pleasant in Westchester, except larger. In 2010 Ramapo had 125,000 residents and I'm sure has only grown since.

Maybe Dutchess wouldn't benefit from countywide consolidation. Has anyone sat down and looked at what, if any savings or improvements could be made? Are there any villages or hamlets that are struggling to cover an area that they could better cover together? I know very little about Dutchess, but I'm willing to bet this hasn't been tackled yet and if it has, I guarantee the public doesn't know.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that your service if any has been in a volunteer capacity in a fairly safe community ( NO I AM NOT KNOCKING THE VOLUNTEER SERVICE OR THOSE PEOPLE WHO WORK IN LOW CRIME AREAS) With that being said, you made some pretty bold statements about cops, and you base all of it on the " many,many,many " cops you know so I guess you know a lot of the 800,000 law enforcement officers in this country to make such statements.
