  1. True that! I always try to make sure to switch off but sometimes I just get in the groove and loose track of time. usually someone is there to bump me off though. Thank you! never bad to hear it again! mini refreshers never hurt!
  2. i have been trained with this new type of CPR but have not put it to use as every code i have worked has been with myself and a partner. however when i do chest compressions, i do not pause, i just instruct my partner to keep bagging even if the ventilation might not be going to the lungs. if i do pause it would be to wipe the sweat from my eyes or if the medic is getting a tube. seems like it might be better to just do the compressions. glad to see this woman was saved and kudos to the husband LEO
  3. ur kidding me! in his car? who searched his car and why? In high school I always had knives in my car as they were part of my fire gear just as it was probably part of his activities after school with the eagle scouts. My friend was prohibited from attending our senior prom because some how the school found it acceptable to search his car because they saw a bag of chew in the front seat. they found beer in the truck and suspended him because he was 18. it wasnt even his beer as he shared the vehicle with his father and his father had purchased the beer the night before and never took it out. I told him to fight it but he never did. this is just BS. Its not like he had it on him in school, which in my eyes is no problem anyways as i religiously had one on my persons. not that i ever once thought of hurting someone, it was just part of my normal get up. i will be calling after class for sure.
  4. what kind of ford vehicle are we talking about here anyways??? im sorry ford is not on your list! I understand your situation, but I am partial to ford and think they make the best products. although i am in love with the '03-'05 ram style pickup with the cummins
  5. sharp. is this the first new body style camaro police car? i wish them luck with it.
  6. I know our 2005 F-450 truck nose style 6.0L powerstroke has blown about 6 turbo's and various other parts that seem to go along with the problems ford had with the 6.0. The dealer honored our warranty and replaced all issues. If the vehicle is under warranty, the stealership should fix it as long as there is no fine print in your contract. i would check out the contract. on that same truck, the box, built by trauma hawk i believe, is starting to bubble and rust around the corners on the rear doors. I believe we are fighting with them to fix it as a 4 year old vehicle should not be doing this. i do not know the warranty/guarantee so i cannot give more info. it is our least used rig and i know we are upset about it. i would check the contract. but if you are past your waranty you might be out of luck. if these things happened under warranty and the stealership refused to fix...well some initiative might need to be taken towards the stealership if you know what i mean. i hate to see that happen though. you have to check your contracts. good luck.
  7. +1 on the GM engineering and impala quotes.

  10. Great question. I never thought about that. As far as I know, my Fire department and VAC do not have anything set. Unless I have not been advised due to my absence from being at college, we do not have anything. I am certainly going to bring this up however!
  11. Great shots! I just got back from both yellowstone and Grand teton at the end of august. what an amazing place. I recognize some of the photos, but no fire when i was there.
  12. I am appalled. plain and simple. what could her reason possibly be?

  14. true I agree. I should have been a little more thorough in my post. My apologies.
  15. no one under the influence should be carrying a firearm. He stated he kept it locked in his car, ok, but he should have never thought about it. UNLESS, he was truthfully in grave danger. I know in CT though if I was in my car, I would have to drive off rather than shoot. but then again he'd be driving drunk so its kind of a vicious circle. too bad it happened though. I hope the two men survive.
  16. R.I.P. brother.
  17. +1, I think about that everyday. I am not from westchester so i cant provide any further detail, but I am from CT and it took me about 3 months to get mine. I received it in july and now only short months after i hear it it up to 6 months. anything that deals with a firearm today is becoming increasingly tough. good luck. any idea on what you want?
  18. Thanks so much for allowing personal use!
  19. just got back home from the muster. Pretty good day. was surprised not to see more vendors. I remember 3 years ago it was loaded. Nice trucks though.
