  1. DCC closed today so our staffing is me being bored at the fire house. We never seem to get calls in the snow anyway.
  2. This rig must turn some heads when responding to a call. It is a very nice looking rig, back when trucks were simple.

  5. Nice looking truck. Best of luck with it.
  6. Nice pictures. Even the camera crews have gotten the mandatory vest thing down.
  7. Well now that you have to buy the drink, you might as well have to pay to get rid of it also.
  8. WOW! That's all I can say to that.
  9. Do you have any info on the fire? When was it?
  10. When I was doing my EMT ride time in the city we got a call of a diabetic emergency. The FD responded along with Alamo and since we were right around the corner we were on the scene within a minute or two. We went to the patient's door, and she came out with here suitcase and we were outside walking to the ambulance when the FD got there. So, the EMD is only as good as the information that the patient gives.
  11. great shots, thanks for using all of your gas to get the shots for us to see.
  12. RIP, my thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends, and fellow officers.
  13. Made my prediction on the multi-alarm fire, no problems.
  14. Great pictures, thanks for showing them. Any idea the temperature of the water?
  15. You can't fix stupid
  16. I think booster lines have their uses, but they are limited. I think it really matters what types of calls you run. If you run a lot of small brush fires and illegal burns and don't have a brush truck, it might be useful. If you do have one it is important to know when to use it. If you try and use it in the wrong places, you will defiantly be in more trouble then when you started.
  17. Thanks for sharing the pictures Was bringing the hearse to the scene to cut down on time, lol. Looks like a very good drill.
  18. Very nice pictures, thanks for sharing. There were a lot of ambulances it seemed in some of the pictures.
  19. I always make sure that I have my contacts in when I go to a call. With practice I have gotten good at it and can do it fairly quickly.
  20. Done. #117800. Hope the family gets it.
  21. I am not sure of any system that is being worked on or is in place. I do think however that this would be something good to have. It would be keeping up with the times of communication. Originally, cell phone calls could not be tracked to an area. Now, most of the time, a position can be given to the caller using GPS. Using text messages would probably be very helpful in certain circumstances, such a the one described above. It could also be helpful for people that are deaf that have cell phones.
  22. Nice pictures. I didn't see any other thread on what happened. Any information. (sorry if it is there and I didn't see it.)
  23. That one or a similar one was up at the NYS Chief's Convention in Lake George this past year. It surprised me when I saw it there. I'm sure it surprises a lot of people going down the road.
