Some departments still refer to the driver as a chauffeur or an engineer though neither is driving a limo or a train.  No need to be insulted, its just terminology.  The people you want to know the difference, do.

First you have to get the apparatus to the scene quickly and efficiently. Position it properly, secure your water source, feed numerous lines at different pressures and volumes, proportion foam additives, continually monitor all those lines, communications, equipment leaving the truck, some with electrical or hydraulic lines connected to the truck, etc. etc.  That 'glorified driver' is like a conductor for a Philharmonic Orchestra.

Looks great, remember this truck from my earliest days.  Love those B series Macks. I see it was changed to an automatic, was there a re-power?

Down here in the South, most of my neighbors not only have fire pits, they have burn piles for their yard debris.  After Tropical Storm Hermine, clean up was easy as we just kept feeding his burn pile.

Took a little getting used to when you see a column of smoke rising behind the neighbors house.

In Florida, all the Sheriff cars, for each County in the state are the same color scheme, only the County name is different.  Personally I think it would be beneficial if all marked police vehicles were the same color scheme.  And by that I mean all. Local, University, Board of Education, DEP, etc., etc.  There are a lot more cars on the road than we sometimes realize and a uniform color scheme would show that and be a better deterrent to the criminal element.

Started already here in Savannah.  Been raining steady for a couple of hours, won't get real nasty for us till morning. I'm high ground, more worried about the expected winds.

As stated, the petition lacked the signers voting district thereby invalidating the petition.  Also stated, the signers addresses were listed and could easily be added.  So add the voting districts and re-submit the petition.  It did not indicate that the signer needed to include the district at the time of signing so just do it now.

That said, the three trustees seeking to invalidate the petition are true politicians subverting the will of the people.

How many of the shareholders who profited from the three fold stock price increase were members of Congress, aware of the coming price increases and the Federal block grants to place these pens in thousands of locations.

That's how they all get wealthy having gone into Congress 'not wealthy'. Insider trading on confidential information is NOT illegal for members of Congress. Just the rest of us.

So maybe I'm missing something, but why is this vehicle such a big secret? No specs, only one interior shot. Lenco has the medcat, and I'm sure the military has similar vehicles. Plus, there's a reason most EMS agencies have "MEDIC" all over there tactical gear.

This also shows the proper times for flying the flag at half staff.  Something that is being done too often for inappropriate reasons.

I personally believe there is a concerted effort on the part of many to shut down expressions of patriotism.  This appears especially true in Government controlled/supervised areas where bureaucrats can direct these expressions be removed from publicly owned or subsidized properties.

I believe it is part and parcel with the 'all inclusive' philosophy that seeks to stifle our ability to have a common language, our own customs and a defined border.
