West Harrison just purchased a new 2015 Tahoe (SSV) to replace 2501. The 2011 Tahoe (2501) is becoming 2502. Lighting and vinyl is being done by Hudson Valley Fire Equipment.

Hey guys, I'm a member of the department. Yes there has been damage to the building, which is being addressed within the next few months. This damage to the building accrued when we let other departments train in the facility. None of the damage was reported to us. The damage was discovered later on, and with many departments training there it’s hard to place the blame. From here forward we no longer will let other department drill there, unless we have a crew of our own there supervising. We are one of the few to be lucky enough to have such a nice facility it’s sad that others did not respect it.

White Plains has purchased 5 Taurus Police Interceptors. Car 14, and 15 are already on the road. Both cars have LPR's mounted on them. Car 37 has the ghost look vinyl on it, that’s a traffic car. Two more are going to be entering into service soon. Car 12 is about to enter into service. The two new police interceptor Explorer’s are for the K-9 unit (K9-11, K9-12.) They are both in ghost vinyl.

Photo's look great, thanks for sharing them. I remember seeing most of those apparatuses as a kid. Brings back memories. As for the old 265, didn't Harrison paint that Engine up in light blue, and used it for a water truck for the DPW? Then later on switched it back? What ever happen to engine 265?

I guess basements don't flood when you need them to!
That's for sure. The cause of the fire was a candle.

Some photos from basement fire in West Harrison. Rain was real heavy at some points. Photos are not the greatest, even with the SLR.

Being a native of West Harrison, I remember that Mack (TL-9) very well. As the article said Mt. Vernon took ownership in 2000. This was after West Harrison Bought there 95'ft KME Arial Cat.

When will these new rig's be put into service? Well over due, I like the look. They will match up well with 65 and 67. Good luck W.P.F.D

I've seen a few posts back someone was asking about our department (West Harrison) acquiring a new Seagrave. Yes, we are getting a new custom built 2016 Segrave engine, thanks to Hudson Valley Fire Equipment, LLC. It will be a straight engine, with no extrication tools. It will be replacing our 1992 Spart/Beck rig 267. Chief, and crew went out to Wisconsin over the weekend to finalize blue prints.I Will keep you guys updated. Here is our new baby, well at least on paper.
