I must admit I just as much a Facebook Wacker as a Bravo wacker. I dont even think about it becuase they dont and shouldnt mix. Facebook is for friend connections and letting the rest of the world know what, where, when, and why. Although there is a lot going on right now and I use it to keep updating family. Bravo is for exactly what it says. "Your knowledge helping others". Fire, EMS, and Rescue Buffs. Its the little people who mix them up.

The camera man took 300 pictures of the same shots, put the camera down and grab a hose. These knit wits need stories that bad that you have to degrade emergency services personnel on a daily basis... This is why I stopped receiving the paper.

While I agree that we need to pinch pennies in Dutchess County I believe we are cutting funding in the wrong places.
Bill Steinhaus would rather pave the woods, (Rail Trail) than keep the streets and taxpayers safe... The Rail Tail is a great project, when we have the money. At this time we need to put that money being spent on the higher priorities. I see the construction workers working on the Rail Trail everyday. Lets cut that project for a while and put some of these Firefighters, EMS, Fire Investigation, and Police personnel back where they should be!!!!!
Scrooge lays off Firefighters, Police and EMS personnel just before the holidays. Shame on you Boob Kratchet.I hope you wont have to be visited by 3 ghosts. The Ghosts of Firefighter, EMS, and Police past!!!!!
Sorry watched it with the kids last night

    Select one:
    1) Bingo
    2) They must be sober, because they are under 21 and there info is 100% acurate (according to them and the NYC politicos that spoke at the press conference) the dash cams and other video is wrong and they must be correct (do you know how hard being sarcastic on here).
I found it interesting how some NYC Council members showed up at the news conference and talked about this will never happen again because they have past a law requiring NYPD to have annual CPR training.

Sounds like a good idea chief, unfortunately we wont follow in your foot steps, makes too much sense.
It seems the Fire District has very little say and the Rescue Squad has even less!!! The Town is the ultimate ruler over EMS in Pleasant Valley
    From the Poughkeepsie Urinal:
Volunteers on the Pleasant Valley Rescue Squad respond to medical emergencies in the evenings, overnights and on weekends. Because of work obligations, many of the volunteers are not available to respond to medical emergencies during weekdays, requiring the assistance of the professional ambulance service.
We do respond during the day, not alot but we do! We also send our paid staff to high priority calls to assist Hudson Valley Paramedics. I think if anything Mr Hart and Mr McNair should come down and fill out an application! I have 3 duty crew shifts and would be more than happy to give them one.

Can't say i agree. Bunch of good, seasoned, City providers will be moving on with this change. As a side bar MLSS has wanted this contract forever....we hated it when they opened up their station in the city limits and would consistently buff 911 jobs. I remember on occasion where a City FD Captain reamed the MLSS crew out for their buffing efforts. Obviously my loyalty lies with the Alamo holdovers (now TC) and it upsets me that they will either have to move on or go through another change of shirts...those that regularly work out of the city are loyal, dedicated, enthusiastic and have great working relationships with FD and PD. It's going to take time for things to re-formulated.
Oh well, such is par for the course in Dutchess county

Yeah, yeah, i know...i know nothing. All the time i spent working in the city of poughkeepsie, dutchess and ulster counties are worthless. I'm going to go hang my head in shame because what i have to say from first hand experience in the field means nothing.
If you wan't to call reality on the ground mud-slinging so be it. The city's loss, heart goes out to my former city EMS providers.

TransCare has never gone to the city of Poughkeepsie. They have driven through plenty of times to go to the hospital. They had a patient exscape once on route 9 in the city but never responded to a alarm in the city. please post facts.....
