I wonder if this is a joint bid notice for Orange & Winona Lake, as they are both part of the Orange Lake Fire District. Both recently received a KME engine. The oldest engine at Orange Lake is a 1997 Pierce and at Winona Lake is a 1987 Pierce that was refurbished a few years ago.

There was a re-kindle at this scene earlier today. There was an additional collapse of one of the structure's walls and 2 patients were transported by EMS secondary to that collapse. Coldenham Truck 205 was requested t/s on an automatic response.

During the incident there was a collapse of the roof and partial third floor causing immediate exterior only operations. 1 Walden firefighter went into cardiac arrest on scene, CPR was administered and they were transported. As of 6/21/2015, he is in a medically induced coma. An additional firefighter suffered more minor injuries due to falling down stairs.

Although Volvo doesn't build fire apparatus, I could see departments that might want to buy a Volvo chassis after seeing this unit. It's surely a beast!

Looks cool, but I'll bet it wouldn't clear a lot of railroad bridges in my area. Do step stools/ little Giants come standard?
The ladders and soft suction look like they could be a real joy to takedown/ replace. Would probably need the technical rescue equipment to do this.
Just kidding but to the Volvo team good luck with the vehicle.

I used to contribute incident alerts on occasion, but really don't have the time to sit and listen to the scanner for hours on end anymore.
Being that most of these incidents are now instantly posted up on Facebook these days, whats the incentive for users to spend hours listening to an incident rather than spending time with their families or other hobbies just so grateful users like yourself are satisfied ?

Monroe(Orange County,NY) Joint Fire District has ordered a Smeal 100' Midmount Platform Quint.

Maybrook took delivery of the new Engine 218 yesterday. Bullville's twin KME pumpers are well underway and are expected in a few weeks, according to one source.
No further updates yet on Pine Bush or anyone else "local".

It is replacing Engine 215,a 1997 Spartan Central States pumper. Maybrook did the same thing a couple of years ago with E-218, which they designated Engine 210.
