What was Whitney Houston's worst hit? ..... The one that killed her.
She does not need this attention and praise. Completely pathetic.

It's about time a company is wise enough to order a Cummins for a utility. I love it.

My deepest condolences go out to the victims' family and friends. What a horrific Christmas. God Bless and RIP.

Not surprised that there is only ONE reply to this thread. After all, the guy was JUST a cop doing his job who got shot in the face. Who cares right?
Let's talk about ID'ing old rigs, which buff lights are the brightest and why Johnny didn't have his helmet on at the scene of that outside rubbish fire.
This site is a disgrace sometimes.
Rest in peace PO Crouse, and may the lord be with your family, friends and co-workers in their most difficult time of need.
I second this ^. RIP and God bless PO Crouse's wife and kids, and help them get through this.

Just curious how various departments run their pump training/certification. Do any departments require the county pump-ops course, follow a certain checklist for know-hows, leave it to the trainers discretion or a combination of all of these things? Just curious on what has been most effective in the past for departments. Thanks guys.
Thank you guys for all of the great responses...I'm trying to see what works best in other depts...

This thread should answer all of your questions...
Yeah this thread said "about a month according to human resources." 6 months later and no results.

Has there been any word on when exam results will be released? Were coming on 7 months now since the test was taken. Thanks guys.

Leave the bridge up so that the jumpers don't tie up traffic
He's got a point.

Diesel Pro's
More torque (You're going to need it with all of that weight)
More efficient than gas
Runs cooler than gas (Helpful because they spend a lot of time idling)
Diesel engines last longer than gas engines
Diesel Cons's
Takes longer to warm up, but usually isn't a problem because most ambulances are stored inside.
Diesel is the way to go.

Exit 8 off I684, off of Hardscrabble Rd (Fields Lane, precisely). One of the best places I've found in Westchester so far. It is private property but from what I'm told, the owner actually allows people to ride on it. There are many different terrains there also (Traditional trails, steep hills, 90 degree bank turns and open flat areas with jumps.)

Considering Texas' road conditions, 85 is totally acceptable.

The area is supposed to be hit with another storm this coming saturday. Does anyone know if the seminar will be cancelled or bumped to Sunday if conditions are too bad?
