Ho-ho-ho! Look what Santa delivered this week!
Engines 6-1 and 6-2 are twin Spartan/Marion pumpers with 2000gpm QMAX pumps, 500 gallon tank and 30 gal Class "A" foam.
The lettering and goldleaf will be completed "in the next few weeks" since some of the extra parts have not yet arrived.
The members were working on ENG6-1, so most of the pics are ENG6-2

Thanks everyone. Correct, the American vehicle is the Ford Brush Truck. It's being trialled as a quick response vehicle staffed with 2 crew to bin fires and as a rapid response unit. Unsure if it will be put into full time service and if more will be purchased. Built by: http://bfxfire.com/products
We run a mixture of vehicles here in Australia from Freightliners to Ivecco's however our main Chassis is built on a Scania Chassis.
Would you guys like to see some more images? If your interested I can post them up.

Got a shot of NYSP H208, a 2012 Chevrolet Caprice, and it was black. Are NYSP cars going to be black now? I'd really hate to see that, as I really like that unique dark metallic blue they have.
(Sorry for the crappy shot)
And here is a photo of one of their K9 Tahoe's for comparison:

I listened on Radioreference for awhile. Unbelievable.
Gov. Christie ordered mandatory evacuations, AC Mayor said "no stay in town, go to shelters." Did ANYONE learn from Katrina?? -

Things turned hairy real fast and people got caught off guard AGAIN, when will people learn?? People still refused to evacuate even during MANDATORY evacuation requests, and now first responders are putting their lives on the line for these idiots...WHY? What good are you going to do by staying in your precious home? You cant stop flooding, you can clean up and re-build though, and yet people still refuse to leave when prompted...
Lessons should have been learned in Irene, but obviously they weren't. Im sitting here in the EOC tonight in disbelief that so many lives have been lost and more are being threatened when it could have been prevented by evacuating...you CANT fix STUPID...

Last night, the Easton FD suffered an LODD. Reports are a truck was responding to an alarm when a tree struck it. The firefighter suffered major head trauma. No other information is available at the time. Information will be and should be posted here when official word has been released.
Please pray for the family and the members of Easton in their time of need.

FIRST AND FOREMOST - TO OUR EMERGENCY RESPONDERS: "STAY SAFE AND WELL, WHILE YOU ARE OUT THERE PROVIDING ASSISTANCE TO THOSE IN NEED DURING THIS UPCOMING STORM"
I would suspect that some of the Fire Departments in some of the major cities in our area (YONKERS FIRE DEPARTMENT, MOUNT VERNON FD, NEW ROCHELLE FD, WHITE PLAINS FIRE DEPARTMENT) will be bringing in off duty personnel to man reserve and spare fire apparatus to support some of the historically known flood areas in those cities.
Does anyone out there, who are tied to either the YFD, FDMV, NRFD, and WPFD, know what plans they have in place? (such as, for example, say for Yonkers, putting Engine 317, Squad 21 and Ladder 77 in service; in Mount Vernon , putting Spare Engine 1 and Spare Ladder 4 in service, and say for NRFD, putting Engine 19 and Ladder 14 in service)
Any and all information would be appreciated
