I believe they do mostly exterior firefighting and call m/a for interior
yes you are right
but they still put on scba on active fire and most cells get handled by their own units if it's a big one m/a will come in

Car 2 arrived on scene to reported smoke in the basement and something actively burning. Units got to the scene were stretching a line a few min later car 2 called orange 911 to reported working fire in the bsmt and req fast team to the scene from Woodbury FD and addl engine for stby,
Car 2 has req fire invst to the scene and O&R for a power cut
A short while later car 2 reported fire has been k/d o/h in progress and req EMS for rehab
EMS got to the scene and did evaluate 21 firefighters
at 22:30 the fire was under control
