I took the picture with my iPad, but the information came from Mike Leary, a well known Fire Photographer in CT. Unfortunately I do not have a "before" shot to show you, but just take my word for it.
This 1970 International / Ansul was originally quartered with Engine 16 (Lighthouse Point) and was moved to Tweed-New Haven Airport when they first had firefighters on staff there. Its original designation was Fox 1. Tweed has gotten some much more modern apparatus since then and it was taken out of service a while ago.
Sometime last year it was brought to NHFD's shops last year sometime to be refurbished. I saw it when I was down at the Fire School for a live burn and it was in sad shape. I don't believe the NHFD mechanics did the paint or striping but there was a lot of body/mechanical work to be done. Since the refurb the rig has been renumbered as Car 44 and its currently quartered in the Training Support Building at the New Haven Fire School along with the NHASH Team Prime Mover and Decon Trailer. It may be relocated later on but no details as to where yet.
I carries somewhere in the area of 400-500lbs of Purple K Dry Chem. Personally I think it came out pretty awesome.

On Saturday, September 22, the New York City Fire Museum will present “Fire Museum Family Day,” featuring an antique hand-pumped fire engine muster -- teams from all over the northeast will compete to pump the furthest stream of water from their engines. With the help of Fire Department mascot “Hot Dog,” the FDNY Fire Safety Unit will be distributing fire safety materials to the public, and fire fighters will be conducting kids’ fire safety tours in the Museum’s apartment simulation. In conjunction with National Preparedness Month, the Office of Emergency
Management and FDNY instructors will be conducting Fire Extinguisher Participatory Demonstrations where individuals will learn how to use a real fire extinguisher to put out a live fire. OEM will also be distributing important emergency preparedness information for kids and adults. Inside the Museum, there will be special exhibits of fire memorabilia from area collectors and historical organizations.
The Museum is located in Hudson Square, west of SoHo. Spring Street will be closed between Hudson and Varick Streets from 10 AM to 5 PM. All outdoor activities are free and open to the public and will take place rain or shine. The antique fire-engine muster, presented by the New England States Veteran Fireman's League, will be pumping from 12 until 4 PM. The Fire Museum will be open for visitors; admission is $8 for adults and $5 for children, seniors and college students with ID.

There have been several gas related explosions lately. i would like to take this moment to talk about some basic safety. For you, your families, friends, neighbors, etc.
Keep in mind that propane is heavier than air and will tend to settle in low areas, basements, crawl spaces, along floors, etc.
Natural gas is lighter than air and will collect along ceilings, in attics, etc.
Both will collect in areas with little to no ventilation,
    IF YOU SMELL GAS:
Leave the building without turning any lights on or off.
Do not use the phone in the affected structure.
If it is safe to do so, turn of the gas supply at the source For natural gas, the meter. For propane, turn off the tank.
Call 911 AND your gas supplier.
DO NOT attempt to make repairs yourself.
    Call a QUALIFIED technician.
I am always amazed at some of the "homeowner" repairs and connections. How they don't blow themselves up is beyond me.
Just because your buddy once helped a plumber put in a sink, doesn't mean he is qualified to connect your water heater. And just because your neighbor is a plumber, does not mean he is qualified to do gas plumbing and repair.

Thanks Ang. You guys are alright in my book. Thank you very much for thinking of us. We did a lot of preparation, shuttered up the doors and windows, bought all the emergency supplies. Thankfully the storm did not grow to Cat 1 here. So we're fine. Minor and I mean minor wind damage.
Thoughts and prayers turn now toward our Brothers and Sisters on up on the Gulf coast.
But I'll still take the goodwill supplies. When are you expecting to arrive?
    Stay safe Brothers.

Here's the rear of the fire building, and you can see some damage to exposure 2.

Milford, PA Engine 33-2 filling up the tankers out of the Delaware River.

Slate Hill Tanker filling up the portable pond.

Huguenot Tanker 813 dropping its load.

    Greenville Engine pumping.

From what I could see, Port Jervis had all equipment except for Engine 5.
Mutual aid was the Rescue and Truck from Matamoras, an Ambulance from Westfall, Middletown Truck 1, Slate Hill Tanker and Tower Ladder, Johnson and Unionville Tanker, Engine from Howells, Tanker from Montague, Engine and Tanker from Greenville, Engine and Rescue from Sparrowbush, Engine from Lumberland, Engine from Westbrookville, Engine and Tanker from Milford(Another Milford Engine was relocated to Engine 4), A few other tankers from Sussex County, NJ, and a ladder from Hardystown, NJ??? There was an OC Engine(602??) relocated into Engine 1, and as I was heading home, an Engine from New Hampton was passing me going the other way, and Silver Lakes new Tower Ladder was pulling in just as I made the turn onto Neversink to head home. Numerous EMS agencies and a large rehab area set up just past Greenvilles source engine.
