A few shots from the north side of the fire building. Heard the sirens and saw the plume, but had to go to a stupid meeting. I cut it short, grabbed the work camera, and took a few shots. I had just eaten at Coyote Flaco a few doors up before the alarm went out.

I first had the pleasure of meeting John back in the mid 90s while working for the United States Postal Service in Poughkeepsie. He was working security at the RIP VAN WINKLE TOWERS on Rinaldi Blvd. He would let me into the lobby and would say if ever needed anything to let him know. He would then go back into the security office and watch the cameras or take a quick stroll outside. I found it funny such a mild mannered Cop was working one of the worse parts of the city and he always had a smile on his face. It is so ironic that 1 block from where I had the pleasure of meeting this man he is gunned down in the line of duty. You are a Heroic man Detective Falcone, that little girls family has you, and the City of Poughkeepsie Police to thank for saving her life. GOD SPEED BROTHER, GOD SPEED!

    Members,
There is a now ex member of this site who is spreading rumors about this site, and myself. This person is making up a wide variety of lies with malicious intent, in order to slander us.
This person is also using Facebook, and many of you have bought into this.
I ask that you consider the roles this person has in the Westchester fire and EMS services, and take a hard look at this persons behavior. We tried to discreetly deal with the issue this person caused, because we had respect for him and his many great posts and dedication to this site. Instead, this person decided to go into a tirade.
I can't address all the lies and false quotes this person is using, because there are so many different stories coming out of one mouth. I am making this post because of the extreme slander. I am upset it has come to this, as I considered this person a friend and I really respected what he brought to this forum and the good he has done for his community. There is no excuse for him dragging this down to such a personal level with such immaturity.
I will not get into what this person did that started this did, but this could have been easily resolved, as mentioned.
This site is only as good as members who contribute content make it to be. Thank you to all the members who are loyal to this site, and have the social skills to be able to debate an issue with respect toward one another, and who come to this site with open ears and open minds.

To Poughkeepsie Police Officer John Falcone's family, friends and the Brothers and Sisters of the Poughkeepsie Police Department; we here at EMTBravo, hundreds of fellow police officers, firefighters and emergency medical personnel all grieve with you for the tragic and senseless loss you have suffered.
Most of us did not know John personally, but we now know who he was because of his actions; his willingness to go into harms way, do his duty, and heroically carry out his final call.
He will never be forgotten by us.
When a tragedy like this happens, when a man such as Officer Falcone is taken from this world in the line of duty, our hearts are broken with yours, we stand at attention and salute him and all of you, and offer you all our deepest condolences and respect.
He reminded all New Yorkers, and all fellow Americans, what it means to be a Police Officer. An innocent three year old girl will live her life thanks to the courageous and selfless last actions of a hero.
Officer John Falcone, No Greater Love....Rest in Peace and thank you.

Summit NY. is in the Catskills next town over from my place upstate, no wonder I found the 1965 Mack C95. The place in Summit is called "Summit Shock" and is a Prison. I was in there firehouse in 1993 when I bought my place and there where no Macks from New Roc at that time but there was one from Seaford Long Island. Will be starting to go up agian in a few weeks and will stop by to see what the story is !
