This Saturday 5/12 is national train day and they are having one of the events at Grand Central. The event runs from 11 am - 4pm. There will be a lot of train equipment on display on the tracks at Grand Central. This will be a really cool event if you or your kids are into trains.

Absolutely tragic. Absolutely unreal.
For Police Officers, and Police Dispatchers, nothing is ever "routine".

Arrest Affdavit (Describing the entire incident in detail):

Wal-Mart videos captured the entire incident on video, which I hope to never see released.
RIP Officer Jaime Padrone. Thoughts and prayers for everyone involved, except the killer and anyone associated with him.

rfdu39 liked a post in a topic by x635 in Rattlesnake Anyone?
Really? What if my 16 month old daughter was in the garage and the snake got to her or my wife? As much as I love animals, including my dog which could have easily been killed, I love my family and dog more. This is a REALLY dangerous animal.
And further FYI, juvenille rattesnakes are the most agressive. They use their venom not matter what, where adult rattlesnakes conserve theirs more and may even "dry bite". This particular variety I spoke with a LEO who is a snake expert and he told me I did the right thing as this was an especially vicous breed. It's also important that the public know what these types of snakes look like. (You never know who up north is keeping them as pets)
If it wasn't on the sticky pad, IF I could capture it safely, I would put it back into the wild far away. But that was not an option. As mentioned, I love my family, and I don't want to possibly be severly injured or die handling this snake.

Congrats, Barry. I/we all appreciate the knowledge you bring to this forum and continue to look forward to your posts, and seeing who's next to break 1,000.
I'm glad the point system is working out well. The members who really contribute knowledge and great posts correllate to higher point counts. I myself look at the points to help determine the credibilty or knowledge of the member.
As far as the raise, I keep asking myself for one and keep getting denied...which is my other problem, lol.
