  1. Rob, is that KR from Woburn, MA FD in the video?
  2. I work just outside of Boston. We (FD) have been using Nasal Narcan for 4 years at the BLS level for Opioid overdoses. Works wonders.
  3. JMHO, but this is what happens when you practice "feel good" policing. You can give the guys hats and bats and armor them up like ninja turtles, but to clear a unruly crowd you have to give them the green light to do it correctly. And yes, this may mean people get hurt. And the city fathers and police command staff will not do the right thing. Happens everywhere.
  4. Love the halligans driven into the ground to provide footing for the shoring!!
  5. Try http://www.stamfordfiretruths.org/
  6. In looking at aerial photos, there seems to be a red tractor trailer parked in what appears to be the Ops/Maintenance area on the north side of the airport. Could this be a water supply tanker?
  7. My dept. just outside Boston has been "browning out" 1 company every tour since early this year. It will continue for the forseeable future, even after we gave concessions to prevent layoffs. We ran 5 engines and 2 trucks prior to the brownouts. This affects not only that safety of the citizens in the browned out area, but also the safety and well being of the firefighters.
  8. A little bit out of the area, but in the Metro Boston area, the following run TDA's: Revere 1 2004 Pierce and 1 2009 Pierce Melrose 1 2007 Seagrave Somerville 1 2007 Seagrave Waltham 1 2008 Seagrave
  9. Actually, NYC CIMS says Water/Ice Rescue is a NYPD Single Command incident, however, Aviation Incidents are Unified Command with FDNY/NYPD as primary agencies. And, it happened on the (water) border of NY and NJ, to add to the confusion. http://www.nyc.gov/html/oem/html/about/cims_matrix.shtml
  10. If you look at google earth or live view, it looks like the FH is surrounded by boneyards or truck repair places. This could be why you see the old pieces.
  11. Jack, now's the time to buy on the Cape. Too much invetory, not enough buyers.
  12. Long live the new "Curse of the Buried (then dug up) Red Sox jersey!!!
  13. I think removing it puts a double curse on the Yankees. Like digging up an ancient Indian burial ground, maybe??
