  1. It is difficult in this day and age to attract younger generations to this hobby due to electronics and social distractions. Most SPAAMFAA chapters throughout the country continue to have their annual musters and shows. Support and participation in these events helps to keep the tradition alive.

  2. This unique fire station is located in Washington Township, Dublin, Ohio. Due to economics and property availibility, this dual purpose structure has a fire station on the bottom two floors and a 900,000 gallon water storage tank above. It houses an engine company and ambulance. Photo by Howard Peiffer

  3. As a member, chairman, and captain of the Mohegan Volunteer Fire Association ambulance operation,I first met Dawn in the 1960's. Dawn was a sparkplug in the PCVAC as a dedicated volunteer in administration, training instructor, and mentor. I feel privileged to have known and worked with her through our parallel memberships in our respective vacs.

My condolences to Dawn's family and the officers and members of the PCVAC.

  4. Why dont you just come out and beg....your half way there...you have just pretty much asked for $700...

Seth, Thank you for establishing the EMTBravo network of sites and your dedication to them during the past seven years. These sites have attracted over 12,000 members of Emergency Services who have been able to share and learn from others, which is a great accomplishment.

It was an honor for me to be appointed an administrator of EMTBravoSouth and I enjoyed it immensely.

Step back, take care of yourself, family, and finances and I wish you the best of luck in the future.

  5. Alzheimers is a tough way to finish up life. Now that her battle has ended, may she rest in eternal peace.

I met Marilyn many years ago when I was an officer in Fairchester Hose Haulers Association, where her & Gil attended our musters at Kensico Dam and Croton Point Park.

She was a great person and continued the business, on her own, after Gil's passing.

    May she rest in peace.
