  1. Although I didn't always agree with his politics, the man was a genius!! Comedy today would not be what it is without George Carlin....RIP funny man...
  2. Do you really think the mainstream media would ever put out stuff like that???? I think it's great, we need more like that...
  3. If the business owners were smart, they would charge theses "Officer's" to use their facilities. White Plains seems to be a city where they would rather fine consumers and drive them away, than allow them to spend their money and keep coming back. I guess they'll make there money, one way or another. Anybody know what they're paying the P.I.'s???
  4. Just heard on the news that Officer Bubaris has been acquitted on all charges....Lohud.com has the story as well......Hope he gets his job back.
  5. I would love to see what the employee's, top to bottom, at The Journal News make. I'm sure that they wouldn't be so quick to put in the pay that civil searvant's earn, if they had to show their own as well..
  6. Do the Patriots players want the rings that bad?????....lol
  7. So the question now is, how many of you are going to watch???
  8. I guess there really is a Fashion Police...
  9. And the lawyer at the center of this mess....Jonathan Lovett....A man who makes a living playing both sides of the fence. I love how in certain cases, he's all for civil servants and in others, civil servants are a plague on the community. With that said, if I needed a good lawyer, he'd probably get the call. You may call me a hypocrite, but he know's how to get the job done. It beats the alternative.
  10. Just want to wish everyone a safe and Happy Memorial Day....
  11. Does the 1st ammendment go out the window when you become a police officer? Apparently in Westchester it does... I read the article that led up to Det. Bonura's suspension, and was thinking to myself, finally someone has the nerve to speak the truth. Maybe it's time for the D.A. to stop cutting sweetheart deals for career criminals.
  12. Here we go....I didn't hear the FD complaining when PD got the shaft last time....
  13. This should come as no surprise to anyone. As soon as the verdict was announced, the media was reporting that Dept. and Federal charges, as well as, civil charges would be filed. I hope that in the future, when a LEO is killed, the same "justice" applies.
  14. During the past week, I've been reading in the Journal News, articles about various PD's honoring their Officer's. Do FD's around the county do this as well? Excuse my ignorance if they do, I don't really follow FD to closely.
  15. Thanks for the enlightenment...
  16. Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't most PD's only enforce the cell phone law AFTER another infraction has occurred??
  17. I guess it's time to check out the new photo's....

  19. "Warrior's, come out and play ay".....This could go on all day, it's good to have some levity on a thread...
  20. Sharpton and Co. couldn't really speak up as they wanted because all of the detectives were not white. The situation, as it unfolded, dictated the outcome. It's easy for critics to Monday morning quarterback what happenned, however, I'd like to see what would happen if they were put in the officers shoes. Just to end my little rant, like the saying goes, I'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6...This time it only took 1 to judge.
  21. What shift are you working??? Just in case I'm running late, that 20 over could help me out...lol
  22. Here's a hypothetical question: Your in a fully involved structure fire, both paid and vollie's on scene, you suffer an injury inside and need to be pulled out, would you ask to see a W-2 from the FF who just saved you?...
  23. I don't want to seem stupid, but would it be possible to get "extra" points for starting a valid thread? Or points going to the thread starter, determined by the number of replies it gets? Just my 2 cents...
  24. Way 2 much time on your hands......lol
