thought it was funny, joined NYSC a while back, now they have a rule, only paid firefighters get discounts, out of control

VMFD purchased Globe G-extreme with the DRS( Drag Rescue System), is that what you are talking about, if so, they seem to be quite interesting, we've done a test with it and seems to be a replacement of the "scott pak harness" where you would use the waist straps between the legs to extract a downed firefighter.

i love the PBI color, however, my firetruck is yellow, so my gear at the firehouse is yellow, period. of course, ive gotta have my set of black with no writing for when i buff during the winter months

i have a 1010 in yellow and in black, but nothing is as comfortable as my fathers new yorker, broken in and 25 years old. Not to get off topic but having personal stuff is more assuring. I have an entire set of gear, from RIT harness to nomex hood that is mine, i own it, and i feel more comfortable in that set, than I do in the set i keep at the firehouse, which is set up the exact same way.

maybe someday someone will make a movie or show about firefighters that isnt a love story, a family's timeline, or an alcoholics AA meetings, and we can a firefighter put out fires, and pack hose, and so on. Then people can see what we really do.
