  1. "I do have a test today, that wasn't bullsh**. It's on European Socialism. I mean, really, what's the point? I'm not European. I don't plan on being European. So, who gives a crap if they're Socialists? They could be fascist anarchists, it still wouldn't change the fact that I don't own a car."
  2. Hey gang, I happened to be in the parking lot of the christmas tree shop when you guys were putting out the car fire tonight. I don't know much about fire fighting but you made it look easy, very professional and your rigs looked great. I know it's not that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things but I just wanted to let you guys know, Good Job !
  3. on my scanner when I listen to YPD channel 2 (453.2750) I can hear the fire tones being dispatched over it every now and then but thats about it. This brings back memories of the old recording every hour of KJR433 !!!!
  4. How about this one, " I'm a mog, half man, half dog I'm my own best friend"
  5. Congrats brother and best wishes !!!
  6. First off I don't agree with the decision out of California, it's just another bad decision to come out of the increasingly liberal california judicial system. With that being said, heres a new twist to the discussion, how about a civilian being out in a situation where the below listed law applies. How would liability apply if a police officer ordered you to assist in an arrest and the perp got hurt during it, I could guarentee you would be able to be sued. We really do live in a too litigious society. ( I doubt I spelled litigious correctly) § 195.10 Refusing to aid a peace or a police officer. A person is guilty of refusing to aid a peace or a police officer when, upon command by a peace or a police officer identifiable or identified to him as such, he unreasonably fails or refuses to aid such peace or a police officer in effecting an arrest, or in preventing the commission by another person of any offense. Refusing to aid a peace or a police officer is a class B misdemeanor.
  7. " What kind of plane is it " "Well it's a big pretty white plane with wheels and curtains, It looks like a big tylenol really !"
  8. Rest in Peace Brother, may God Bless you and your Family and may your fellow fire fighters be comforted by their memories of you.

  12. I get all my tattoos done by Cariangel at Big joe's on Central Avenue in Yonkers. She does awesome work and she also does permanent cosmetics for women and also laser and natural tattoo removal and laser hair removal... She is truly the best, if anyone needs her number for an appointment PM me and I'll get it to you !!!!
  13. Mike at big joe's in yonkers does great portraits
  14. thats not good, that means cops would be laid off and policing will fall back on the state and on the municipalities and I know in Yonkers we are busy enough without having to handle every MVA and crime / incident on the highways... Let's hope the money is found to keep the county jobs and to keep the patrols up on the highways !!!!
  15. I'm not a fireman but I think this is a great idea, i would contribute..
  16. This is great news but we can never stop honoring and remembering all of our fallen brothers and sisters from all the emergency services... we wouldn't be where we are today if it wasn't for their sacrafices. I urge everyone here to remain vigilant and to not become complacent even during the most "routine" jobs. Happy New Year to All of you and your families.... "Lest We Forget"
  17. we don't hear any tones in the radio cars or the portables... it's not coming from headquarters as far as I know
  18. Great job by the Trooper, when a cop does something like this, it's like a small victory for all of us !!!
  19. heres's a great one for you, I got called to the old Yonkers General for a male shot inthe head... i was working a double and it was 0530 am... the guy was hit with a .22 that skimmed his scalp and lodged between his head and his skin... he threw the blood pressure cuff stand at the male nurse in yonkers general and we locked him up for assault 2, we took him to st joe's where he threatened to kill an ER who said he's fine, if he doesn't want to be treated get him out of here, he had a .22 slug removed a few days later ... the bottom line is skells in the ER aren't always right, most imes if you wind up in the ER your wrong and deserve it !!!!!!!
  20. didn't we have a couple of local occurences of this ? I actually remember a certain now retired captain who had his unmarked car stolen during a traffic stop... The perp drove about a block before realizing his mistake and tried to run but was caught and given a ride in a marked car to the Hudson Hilton !!!!!
  21. There is NO Doctor that can say the police used excessive force due to the fact that they see the suspect after the fact and they have no idea what happened during the arrest. In most cases the cops who are injured in a fight go to a different hospital so the doctors who are making these statements never get to see what happens to the cops, only to the perps. I have been a cop for 10 years and I can tell you from experience that the perps get treated much better by the docs and nurses than the cops do. The only time they are good to us is when they have an EDP in the ER that they need restrained. Policing is the only profession where people who know nothing about it try to tell us how to do our jobs... Merry Christmas Everyone !!!!!!!!
  22. Very Nice site !!! Best of Luck
